CNET has a review of the Toshiba Satellite A135 rated it 7/10 and writes;
The good: Inexpensive; decent performance; dedicated media controls. The bad: No high-end CPU or video card options; poor battery life; flimsy keyboard. The bottom line: The Toshiba Satellite A135-S4467 is a middle-of-the-road system in every way, but it starts to look more impressive when you factor in the budget-friendly price, making it a solid choice for mainstream users. “

Notebook Review has a review of the Toshiba Satellite A135 ;
“The Intel Core Duo T2250 CPU, together with GMA 950 graphics and a gigabyte of RAM, performed surprisingly well…Pros: Exceptional value, Very good multimedia machine, Excellent screen, Decent build quality, Reasonably appealing appearance, On the whole, stays very cool. Cons: Keyboard layout may take some getting used to, Some flex in keyboard, Fan tends to cycle on and off, Warm air blows out of left vent and onto the hand of a left-handed mouse user.”

Compusa has a user review of the Toshiba Satellite A135 rated it 4/5 and writes;
“The Toshiba hardware is quite good, imo. I love the TruBright display, which I find to be among the best LCD notebook displays available. The 5400rpm 100GB hardrive is large and current enough to keep from upgrading for a while (and you also have the DVD-RW). The built-in speakers actually sound quite good, closely resembling stand alone PC speakers. Really, the only fault of this system is the 512mb RAM, which is barely enough to run Vista at full force. It’s easily correctable though, since there are 2 memory slots and only 1 slot is occupied.”

Newegg has a user review of the Toshiba Satellite A135 rated it 5/5 and writes;
Pros: excellent lil’ computer for internet and basic personal needs. great for students and frequent travelers who need to access a computer when away from home. The motherboard supports DDR2 533 which is a plus. Also it comes with a dual layer dvd writer. Cons: only came shipped with 512MB of ram. after first booting it up and personalizing windows vista basic, the ram meter is at 80%. battery life at the most was around 1.5-2 hrs. but you can find the 12 cell batteries on here when you’re ready to be free from the cord longer.”
