T-Mobile Sidekick LX
For new customers who want to ensure they are among the first to have a Sidekick LX, reservation cards will be available at T-Mobile-owned retail stores across the U.S. beginning September 26th through October 17th. This card will reserve a device that can be purchased and picked-up on October 24th (for more details, visit your nearest T-Mobile-owned retail store).
Following the introduction of the Sidekick LX, the Sidekick Slide, designed by Motorola, will be available later this fall. With a new look and feel for the Sidekick family, the Sidekick Slide debuts a smaller design featuring a slide up QVGA screen, a compact QWERTY keyboard, full Sidekick messaging technology, and a black finish with deep purple accents.

Sidekick Nation: T-Mobile Sidekick Video Contest
In anticipation of the new devices’ launch, T-Mobile kicks off Sidekick Nation: T-Mobile Sidekick Video Contest. To enter the contest, fans across the country can create an original video, no longer than two minutes in length, which exemplifies how their Sidekick serves as their social lifeline. Videos are to be submitted on http://www.myspace.com/sidekicknation beginning October 2nd and no later than November 12th. On November 21st, the entries judged as finalists will be showcased on the Sidekick Nation MySpace page for community voting which will help determine the final winner who will win the ultimate grand prize: a new Sidekick LX, $10,000 and a trip to Los Angeles to attend a taping of Jimmy Kimmel Live! where highlights of the winning video will be aired.

Just got the sidekick Lx and i love it i would say its way better then sidekick3
Hey I just got the sidekick lx about 4 days agon and I love it. Its the first sidekick I hav ever had. Its cool to hav this one as my first one.
i jus wanted to know how is the call quality . . . and if u could hear the person on the other line and speaker phone and stuff like that cause i kno its great for messaging but call wise do you think its good?

The sidekick LX is an improvement over the SK3 but I have noticed that its kinda hard for people on the other line to hear me when im talking. Also when using the mp3 player with volume turned up to maximum the music sounds like its barely on. This could just be the sidekick I happened across though
I have the same problems, people have a hard time hearing me and sometimes they hear themselves echoing. I get horrible service, and are always in and out of reception. Gets kinda annoying. When I play mp3s without headphones you can barely hear it too.
idk.. maybe we got the shit of the bunch.

JUST got the sidekick lx really cool had sidekick 3 and this one is way better than the kick 3 ^_^
I’ve had my sidekick lx for almost a month and its great. The only thing it lacks is the speaker could be louder because the ring tones play extremely low. But other than that. Its every IM DREAM. LOL
Hey this is my first sidekick ever and I love it the 2 problems I that on the internet you have to scroll down a lot and the other problem is that you have no video capabilities that means no youtube or recording videos other than that I love this phone.
This is Μy 4th sidekick… i have had all the model sidekicks and feel that the LX is a very nice phone in apperance but performance wise the sidekick 2 was much better.. The 3 was also horrible with connection… other then that i love the screen and messeging.. But sucks for calls =\ oh well

Hey, the sidekick lx is AMAZING!!! Sure…it does lack the video capabilities…but other than that, its awesome!!

hey, can you record songs and make them your ringtones? i have had a few phones where i could do that && its saved me a lot of money on downloads. also can i put my own picture as the wallpaper? im very big on customizing my phones. thanks for any help.
You can not do either.
You can make your own theme though through a site, and put in onto your sidekick, but I’m sure that’s a hassle.
good, messeging is fun to do, everything u want in a phone, but i dont like the speaker that much but cmon its just a phone its not a stereo system

Hey this phone is so throwed!!!! LOL umm I just got minez a couple days ago and like I neva leave it behind. I sleep wit it in my hands and I neva let it get out of hands reach becuz im always gettin a im or txt like evry minute so I neva put it down. I would definitly recommend this phone to anybody. Its like a lil portable computer in my purse!!! I LOVE THIS PHONE 2 DEATH!!!! Im used to havin a video and stuff but im koo….And yall be complaining about tha camera and its not even that bad. I mean yall the ones that bought it and if yall read other reviews yall would’ve found out that the camera is bad, so yall be trippin cuz it aint as bad as yall make it seem. Yall betta make it worth while for a $400 phone!!!
OMG my mom is taking forever to get my sidekick LX, ive been wishing she would just go magically get it! im soooo excited :D! Only problem is they get stolen alot at school so im also paranoid about losing it! Already had a couple of dreams where i lost it D:
The sidekick lx is the best, everyone always complains about the camera and video and music player. A phone is never perfect its a phone not a computer of course its not gonna be perfect. I love the sidekick lx and there is gonna be an update sent from tmobile to every sidekick owner. The update is gonna have bluetooth support, new aim and email features, video,spell check and other things. The sidekick lx is the best phone!
Does anyone know when the sidekick lx gets its ota update for video. Does anyone know what format of video it would be in?
The ota is sent out to people randomly. Its should be out to everyone by mid July.

omg… this phone is THE BLAST! with a bright screen and an easy keyboard, you need to get this phone… i like the flip! it smoothly flips open and amazes me.

The sklx (sidekick lx) owns I’m sending this msg through it and the full “qwerty” key board is great. I had an I.d. (Another sidekick the 1 be4 the sk 3 I think) and I got the ota update on my b-day I can fucking take video and put videos from youtube and put them on my lx via vixy.net I have an iphone to and I buy videos from itunes a lot so I put the on my 3g iphone and on my lx. My lx is my work phone and my 3g is my normal phone my 3g is black.
And hence I’m an iphone dev. I get at&t phones for free and my 16gig iphone I had to pay but I can get another for free.
