Sony NWZ-A815 (Series NWZ-A810) Reviews
LaptopMag reviews the Sony A810 Series and writes;
“The audio quality with the DSEE feature turned on is excellent; it restores parts of the music that are lost during compression and generally livens up the sound. There’s also a custom five-band equalizer and a handful of EQ presets. The player supports MPEG-4 video, unprotected AAC, MP3, WMA, and protected WMA music files, and JPEG photos. Content looked and sounded great, though the 320 x 240-pixel screen’s colors were a little drab for our taste. ”

“The 2” 320×240 262k color screen is bright, quick, and accurate. Display angles are near perfect 180 degree viewing angles (although the glare off the screen may impede viewing depending on lighting conditions). Video is smooth, fast, and colors are vivid…Buy the A810 if you are looking for amazing sound right out of the box, you do not need to upgrade the headphones unless you are a hardcore headphone snob. ”

Pocketables reviews the Sony A815 and writes;
The round buttons are big and easy to press, so navigation is simple right out of the box. Pressing and holding down Option or Back activates the secondary functions printed in white above and below the buttons…The only upgrade, aside from the benefit of the larger display for watching videos, is that the A810 sounds better out of the box because of the included headphones. ”

CNET reviews the Sony A810 and writes;
Perhaps the most impressive aspect of the Sony NWZ-A810 is its performance. Not only is the battery life of 35.3 hours for audio and 8 hours (rated) for video exceptional, but the processor speed is snappy and photos and videos look very good on the bright color screen, with nice detail and excellent color saturation. ”

VNunet reviews the Sony A815 and writes;
There is a wide range of ways to select and control the music stored on the player, from the intelligent shuffle to searching using the artist’s initial letter, as well as a range of audio effects including an equaliser, presets to make it sound like the music is being played in different environments, and some advanced sound processing technology. ”
