UnbeatableUK reviews the SanDisk Sansa e280 (rating: 4/5) and writes;
“With 8GB of expandable memory via the microSD slot, this player will fit more than enough songs, photos and videos, especially sharing them with your mates on the low-reflective and gorgeously bright screen. We didn’t have any of the normal hiccups known to happen with MP3 players, no sticking, crashing, or movement problems due to it having a flash memory with no moving parts.”

Ubergizmo reviews the SanDisk Sansa e280 and writes;
“Video playback was enjoyable as well, the frame rate stayed constant and the sound reproduction was good too. The included earphones are decent, but I think they are also a limiting factor. The Sansa outputs considerably better sound than the bundled unit can reproduce. After going back and forth between the Sennheisers and the earphones a few times, I think I can safely say that the user experience could be made significantly better with some better earphones.”

CNET reviews the SanDisk Sansa e270 (rating: 8/10) and writes;
The bottom line: The SanDisk Sansa e200 series offers a boatload of features for a reasonable price, in a package that is much nicer than that of past SanDisk models. For those looking for a high-capacity, compact, skip-free MP3/WMA player, start with the e200 series.”

CNET Australia reviews the SanDisk Sansa e280 (rating: 8.5/10) and writes;
“Despite SanDisk being better known for its memory products than for audio fidelity, the sound quality on the Sansa e280 is rather good. Most listeners shouldn’t have any complaints — the music we pumped through the e280 was crisp, featured decent bass and was free from distortion. Radio signals were also good and reception was strong. Recorded radio doesn’t fare so well — the Sansa player downgrades audio quality of the recorded signal. Those who like to set their own equaliser settings will be a little disappointed, however, as the e280 player only has preset settings (such as rock, pop, dance, hip hop and more) rather than user adjustable ones.”

ITReviews reviews the SanDisk Sansa e280 and writes;
“The overall design, features and navigation of the Sansa e280 indicate that Sandisk makes no bones about taking on the iPod Nano. The designers have succeeded admirably, and in terms of value, features and quality this is the closest we’ve seen to an iPod killer in a long while. Die hard fans of Apple’s player will still argue that theirs is best, but anyone looking for a capable alternative or wanting voice recording or video playback won’t go far wrong with the Sansa e280..”

VNunet has a review of the SanDisk Sansa e280 (rating: 4/5) and writes;
“There’s nothing jaw dropping here though, and iPod owners will still argue that they score more points for style and usability. Those who consider value for money and the additional features more important, or those looking for a suitable alternative to Apple’s baby, should find the e280 has more than enough to offer…Overall: Sandisk has produced a great player with the Sansa e280, offering a range of features for a very reasonable price”

Geek has reviewed the SanDisk Sansa e280 and writes;
“I also give the Sansa e280 4.5 Geekheads for Geekness. Its excellent, rugged design and “in between” size make it stand out from the MP3 player crowd. Its ability to play any media type without being tied to iTunes or other “vendor lock in” software is key as well. Your friends with iPods will be envious of this one. The Sansa e280 earns a Geek.com Pick for its excellent design and functionality. It is the ultimate flash-based MP3 player with a rugged “in between”-sized design, easy to use controls, maximum storage capacity, and great sound quality. At its current bargain price level you can’t go wrong with this player.”
