AnthingButIpod reviews the Samsung YP-T9 and writes:
“After creating easy-to-operate controls and an intuitive graphical user interface, it is a pity that the exclusion of dedicated volume and control buttons significantly hamper the simplicity of using the T9. Not many aspects can easily be dismissed as an extra or gimmick feature. If you are after a customizable player which performs competently on more than just the standard tasks, the T9 won’t disappoint.”

Unbeatable reviews the Samsung YP-T9, and write:
“The images on the 262k colour screen are very impressive and video playback is easy to operate and stunning to view. The sound quality is equally as impressive with clarity and depth. We particularly like the usability of the Samsung YP-T9 MP3 player as it is easy to pick up and get to grips with straight away and not have to refer to manuals and such like.”

Digital Trends reviews the Samsung YP-T9 and writes:
“The recording feature, which records to MP3 format, is a nice added addition. The internal microphone recorded with respectable quality, and the bit rate can be adjusted to either 32, 64, 96, or 128Kbps. The higher bit rates allow for better isolation of voice in noisier environments, and of course make the file sizes larger. Most quiet lecture halls will be served well by 32 or 64 Kbps. FM Recording can be set to 96, 128, 160, or 192 Kbps. Recorded files can be accessed directly from the Record menu.”

CNET reviews the Samsung YP-T9 and writes:
“We’re completely taken with the YP-T9’s beautiful screen and colourful, animated interface. Samsung took some care in offering an aesthetically pleasing, modern design without sacrificing usability… It’s a little hard to describe, but it’s definitely cool. The menus are generally intuitive, with music selections sorted by artist, album, and so on…The good: User-friendly interface, Packed with features: photo viewing, video playback, gaming capabilities, voice recording, and subscription music support, Sounds great and looks hot, Rated battery life is also impressive. The bad: Processor is slow, Side buttons take some getting used to, USB port is proprietary, No UMS mode.”

this doesn’t have bluetooth
a beautiful gadget, but after loading only a few songs, the yp-t9 froze. online i found some other owners suffers some form of freezing issues. resetting seems to be a problem.
How can I use my YP t-9 samsung with VISTA OS? When I try to install from the CD that came with the player, I’m told the player only works with XP.
Thanks,
E.A. Davey
I recieved two instalation disk with my player, one for XP and one for Vista. If you didn’t get both I’d recomend contacting them, although that is a major pain! After a few months my player computer stoped recognizing the player, couldn’t charge it or anything, tried using other computers, nothing worked. It took multiple calls to their customer service before they agreed that it needed to be serviced and provided me with that information. One woman was so rude I asked to speak with her supervisor and was told that samsung doesn’t have supervisors for customer service.
i have another problem with the T9, when i am listening to music the buttons seem to give the wrong input and sometimes when i press fast forward it does one of two things: 1 would be it obeys my command and goes to the next song and two it goes back a song realizes it made an error and goes back to the song i was originally listening to.
if aneyone could help me out i would be glad to try anything
thanks
