“The onscreen keyboard does offer you suggestions as you type and is it ok whilst the screen is responsive, but it doesn’t have the slick pop of the HTC Hero or iPhone. Moving the handset from portrait to landscape flips the keyboard around. Viewing photos, movies and webpages in landscape is fine, but generally the menus are all designed for portrait use..”

“The screen is a very serviceable 3.5in, 800 x 400 OLED number that’s sharp, bright and clear. It dominates the front of the handset, and the overall look of the phone isn’t dissimilar to any one of a large handful of full-frontal touchscreen phones. We found the capacitive screen a little reluctant to respond to screen taps at times, though. Getting haptic feedback is well and good, but it does need to be accompanied by action…”

We found it very responsive to our commands…The handset runs the LiMo operating system and the user interface is bright and colourful. Some may find the sweet shop colour scheme a bit too sickly, but others will love it.”

“As alluded to up top, you can’t help but covet the machine’s stylish layout. With an 11.1-inch screen at 1366 by 768 resolution (I’ll get back to that in a second), I’d expect a scrunched-up keyboard with inhumanly small buttons. Not the case. In fact, the buttons are huge by ultraportable standards. The wide, flat keys take a little getting used to, but. I had no problem tapping out this review on the U110.”
