TechDigest have reviewed the Samsung SGH-X820 where they rate the phone 4/5 and write;
“The Samsung X820 is eye-catching and convenient if your pocket space is at a real premium. The very straightforward menu design is a big plus, yet even with the 2.0 megapixel camera, etc, the feature set might still prove too basic for some. The short battery life is by far the biggest weakness, however, and it threatens to eliminate a lot of the practicality of such a compact handset. Serious fashionistas probably won’t let hold them back though. “

PocketLint have reviewed the Samsung SGH-X820 where they rate the phone 9/10 and write;
“With the bear minimum of features, albeit good features, the Samsung Ultra X820 is the perfect phone for users don’t want to be fussed with whether or not their phone can let them watch TV or double up as a comprehensive MP3 player like Sony Ericsson’s Walkman range. The clear large screen and flat design will certainly appeal to fashion conscious mobile phone users. Those looking for a multimedia smorgasbord or long battery life will though be disappointed. This really is about making the odd phone call, taking the odd picture and not much else. However that said it does those extremely well.”

Let’sGoDigital have reviewed the Samsung SGH-X820 and write;
“We could go on for ages, but to cut a long story short, the Samsung X820 is a good phone with lots of functions that are easy to operate. The Samsung SGH-X820 is a real innovation and Samsung has managed to grab everyone’s attention by making the thinnest phone in the world. The battery capacity is good, but if you are going away for longer and you are not sure that you will be able to recharge the battery, an extra battery is not only desirable but a must. If you want to get more out of a mobile phone digital camera, then I have to conclude that the Samsung X820 is not for you. You would be better off with a Sony Ericsson K800i or Nokia N93; these are, however, considerably bigger. In short, the Samsung X820 may not have a super speed digital camera or an extendable memory. The Samsung X820 is, however, an amazing gadget that will wow its users”

MobileBurn have reviewed the Samsung SGH-X820 and write;
“The Samsung SGH-X820 is one of the strongest devices in Samsung’s line up this year, and it will probably make it into the company’s history. The phone is a break through, not only because of the physical dimensions, but the whole user experience. Samsung has proved to us that to make a phone thin, the camera does not have to be poor, the keypad does not have to be unusable, and the price tag does not have to be bankrupting. The new user interface is a genuine upgrade and not just a mere face lift, and the long list of built in applications is all you can ask for on a non-smartphone. The down sides would be the soft-ish ringtones, and the tad small internal memory compounded by the lack of memory slot. Other than that, this candy bar is almost flawless. In short, the X820 does pretty much everything the SLVR does, only better and in a sleeker package. It’s thin, it looks good, it’s powerful, and it’s not too expensive.”

Video Review by PhoneArena:

PCMag have reviewed the Samsung SGH-X820 where they rate the phone 4.5/5 and write;
“As a phone, the X820 is surprisingly good. Sound quality is very sharp, with a touch of an annoying high-pitched harmonic at times. The speakerphone is improbably loud, as are MP3/AAC/WMA ringtones, and the vibrating motor is quite vibrant indeed. Transmission sounds a bit robotic, but perfectly audible. The phone has no voice dialing, unfortunately. Reception is adequate; not up to Nokia levels, but neither is this the deeply troubled VK Mobile VK2020.”

StuffMagazine have reviewed the Samsung SGH-X820 where they write;
“The build quality’s surprisingly good. Despite the wafer-thin dimensions, it feels sturdy and has a good bit of weight (66g) in the hand - the only thing we’d complain about is the cheapness of the plastic finish. Motorola’s RAZRs, by comparison, come blessed with a more expensive-feeling veneer.”
