BlackBerry Pearl 8820 Reviews
PC World reviews the BlackBerry Pearl 8820 and writes;
“In our lab tests of the phone’s talk-time battery life, the 8820 was still running at the 10-hour mark–our test-time ceiling. We tested the battery life when connected via a cellular network only–not when using voice over Wi-Fi…If you’re in the market for an excellent messaging phone that has strong business features, this one is worth considering”

CNET reviews the BlackBerry Pearl 8820 and writes;
The good: The RIM BlackBerry 8820 is the first BlackBerry to offer integrated Wi-Fi. The smart phone continues to offer Bluetooth, GPS, and push e-mail capabilities as well as push-to-talk and multimedia functions. We were also impressed by the long talk-time battery life. The bad: There’s no 3G support and no option for a camera version. The QWERTY keyboard can be slippery, and the device uses a proprietary instant messaging client.

IT Reviews reviews the BlackBerry Pearl 8820 and writes;
Verdict: The 8820 is not a huge leap forward from the 8800 and may appeal more to businesses than consumers because of its black colouring and relatively large size. But it is a very competent device and the addition of Wi-Fi will matter to some.

Brighthand reviews the BlackBerry Pearl 8820 and writes;
Internet browsing is quite fast over the Wi-Fi connection on the 8820, and with a solid connection reaching load times above faster EV-DO cellphones. Being near an accessible access point made all the difference between a lagging Internet connection over EDGE, or a peppy experience over WIFI.
