DigitalTrends reviews the Plantronics Pulsar 260 (rating: 8/10) and writes;
“Happily, I found that the Plantronics Pulsar 260 was almost everything I had hoped it would be. The sound quality was great, the headset had very good range from my Bluetooth cell phone, and the Pulsar 260’s controls are easy to master, even when you’re not looking directly at the pendant. It fit comfortably and felt light. The three sizes of eartips especially won me over; they were a little extra perk that meant a lot. In fact, the only disappointment… Finally, the $50-$60 USD price range is hard to beat for such a solid performer. I’d happily recommend the Pulsar 260 to any of my friends, co-workers, or family members in need of a Bluetooth/stereo headset.”
TheGadgeteer reviews the Plantronics Pulsar 260 and writes;
“Although I like the idea of having a stereo Bluetooth headset that doubles as a handsfree headset, the design of the Pulsar 260 isn’t really wireless when you come right down to it. Yes, there isn’t a wire connecting from the headset to the phone, but the headset itself has a 28 inch long cable connected to it. This cable gets in the way just like regular wired headsets. You also need to clip the Bluetooth pendant to your shirt or belt loop so it doesn’t flop around while you walk. It just seems a little clunky to me. Personally, I’d rather spend my money on a solution more like the Bluetake i-PHONO mini BT450Rx Bluetooth Stereo Headset.”
GearDiary reviews the Plantronics Pulsar 260 and writes;
“For me, I would use this Plantronics Pulsar 260 Stereo Bluetooth Headset primarily for music and audio books on my multimedia phone for extended periods. If a call comes in, great – I won’t miss the call… unless Frank Sinatra or the Beatles is singing at the time, in which case I’ll send the call to voicemail. Nobody interrupts Sinatra or the Beatles while I’m listening! If I were in a heavy phone call mode, I would most likely use a “standard” one ear Bluetooth headset mainly to relieve the ear fatigue.”
JustAnotherMobileMonday reviews the Plantronics Pulsar 260 and writes;
“Even more impressive than the sound quality, however, was the microphone. I admit, if there was any part of the design that gave me a real cause for concern, it was the microphone, which dangles on the headphone cord. I expected that the microphone would suffer from significant interference from background and environmental noise while I was talking, and would have preferred a microphone which was attached to one of the earbuds. Much to my surprise and delight, however, the microphone was fantastic. “

Amazon has a user review of the Plantronics Pulsar 260 (rating: 5/5);
“Wow what a great headset. I paired them with my LG Chocolate loaded full of MP3s and the sound and clarity is amazing for such small headphones (better than my IRiver MP3 with standard earbuds) Great bass and treble, and the volume us just loud enough so there is no distortion, and not so loud as to hurt your ears. The earbuds are a very soft rubber compound with 3 sizes to interchange. and very comfortable. I couldnt find a single review anywhere online about these headsets, but decided to take a chance on the name. Plantronics really did a good job with the 260.”
