SMH has a review of the Portable DVD Player;
” With the help of a digital audio-out jack, you can connect a player to a surround-sound decoder and speakers should you want the full cinema effect. Most will have audio- and video-out ports; some include small remote controls so you don’t have to fiddle with buttons. You can even use the screens on these devices as a TV monitor if they have video- and audio-in connectors. This comes in handy if you want to view photos from a digital camera or hook up to a games console, VCR or digital TV tuner. On the road, the folding screens mean you can easily pack them into a bag or suitcase. Also, anti-skip technology keeps the movie playing when the road gets rough. Keep in mind, however, that battery life can be an issue, and many last only about three hours between charges.”
