The VDR-200 records directly to 8cm recordable DVDs, which you can pop right out of the camcorder and into your DVD player or computer. The DVD format makes it easy to edit and share videos with others. Unlike the similar VDR-100, the VDR-200 comes with a Secure Digital memory card slot, for solid state memory storage that’s easily portable from camcorder to computer or even modern televisions equipped with SD card interfaces.”
