+ REVIEWS:

CNET Australia hands on reviews the Nintendo Wii, they rated the wii 8.2/10 and write:
“The unit itself is available only in pearl white in Australia. The smooth exterior of the Wii looks quite appealing, and is overall a much better finish than the off-white the Xbox 360 comes in. Most of the unit’s surface is clutter-free. The front of the Wii features the disc loading slot, which glows a nice shade of blue when inserting or removing discs. The top of the unit (top when you have the Wii stored on its side, that is) features a power and reset button, while the bottom has an eject button. Along its edge is a discreet panel which can be lifted open to reveal the Wii’s SD card slot and Wii remote sync button.”

Gadgetell hands on reviews the Nintendo Wii, they write:
“The biggest surprise of the WiiMote is not only how well it handles, but the little extras, such as the tiny mono speaker for extra sound effects and the rumble which is layered on the Wii system buttons so you can feel what you are selecting. Very cool…There are a few nice features to the system, such as the built-in wireless adapter that quickly finds your network, a way to easily view photos from a memory card, and my favorite, complete compatibility with all GameCube games, memory cards and controllers.”

PCworld reviews the Nintendo Wii, they write:
“I tested the integrated Wi-Fi, and setup was a snap. The Wii scanned for and found my wireless ADSL router, and it let me type in the network’s WEP key via an on-screen keyboard. I found that I could select letters and move around the Wii Menu using the Wii remote in the same way that I’d use a computer mouse. The remote even vibrated subtly in my hand as I hovered over menu options. Tactile feedback: great!.”

IT-reviews reviews the Nintendo Wii, they write:
“What’s more, when we went along, you could barely wipe the grin off our faces. The software titles that play to the Wii’s strengths are tremendous fun, accessible for all levels of gamer and contain plenty to enjoy. Multiplayer can be just awesome…The box itself is small, lightweight and easily expandable. It’ll support old Game Cube games and controllers and it’ll also sport the Virtual Console, which we didn’t get a chance to play with, where you can buy and download old Nintendo classics for a couple of quid apiece.”

CNET reviews the Nintendo Wii, they rated it 8/10 and write:
The good: Revolutionary controller design offers unique motion-sensitive gameplay options; built-in Wi-Fi delivers free online services and (eventually) gameplay; Virtual Console has major nostalgia appeal; compatible with all GameCube games and controllers; built-in SD slot for storage and photo viewing; includes Wii Sports game; most affordable of all next-gen systems. The bad: Controller eats batteries and takes some time to get used to; lacks the advanced HD graphics and surround sound found on the Xbox 360 and the PS3; requires a wired receiver unit placed near the TV to interface with wireless controllers; can’t play CDs or DVDs.”

Digital Trend reviews the Nintendo Wii, they rated it 8/10 and write:
“Slim and trim, the sleek, all-white unit measures just 8.5″ x 6″ x 2″, or approximately the size of three stacked DVD cases as advertised. Not only does it run quietly and coolly, as opposed to the noisy, nigh nuclear meltdown-inducing beast that is an Xbox 360. It can also be positioned horizontally or vertically as desired, with the mounting stand offering additional stability for those of us who can’t resist the latter, sharper-looking option.”
