Neonode N2

Neonode will be releasing their latest new product called N2. The Neonode N2 will feature GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz and GPRS, 2 MP camera, 70g of weight, up to 4 hours battery life (talk-time), 2.0″ 65k color touch screen, microSD slot and bluetooth connectivity. The N2 will be available May/June 2007 with the price tag of around US$520.

Mobileburn has a hands-on review of the Neonode N2;
“The N2’s 65k color 176×220 pixel resolution touchscreen makes up 2 of its 3″ length. Since there really is no room for buttons or a keypad, all commands are done by touch on the N2’s display. The patented screen technology utilizes light beams that form an invisible grid on the screen and detect when a finger crosses any of the light beams. A simple touch or drag of the finger starts the N2’s many features such as dialing up a friend, sending an SMS, watching videos, or taking photos with the N2’s on-board 2 megapixel camera.”

“We had a chance to go hands-on with the Neonode N2 today while trippin’ the floors of 3GSM. So how was it? Pretty sweet. Although lacking WiFi and 3G, the device felt excellent in the hand. Text input was a bit buggy but that touch-screen interface and long (theoretical) battery life will likely be a hit in whatever market the N2 ultimately reaches… someday.”
