Motorola U9 Reviews
CNET UK reviews the Motorola U9 and writes;
“We’re pleased to report that call quality came in loud and clear. We didn’t hear any noticeable distortion during calls and voices weren’t muffled. The loudspeaker brings similar results and sounded relatively better than certain other mobile phone loudspeakers when playing music.”

IT Reviews reviews the Motorola U9 and writes;
“This is a comfortable phone to hold, being designed in Motorola’s classic PEBL style. Its ‘bar of soap’ shape and smooth finish mean…The U9’s front screen and bright colours are its outstanding features. Look deeper and you’ll find a mid-range set of features inside the pretty casing.”

Pocket-Lint reviews the Motorola U9 and writes;
“When it comes to sound performance the handset performs well on headphones (no option of using your own though), but the external speaker is a bit on the tinny side…In reality it’s more of the same with little to write home about. The design, while somewhat appealing on the outside, is flawed by the lack of a dedicated music button; inside and the keypad is uncomfortable to use.”

Trusted Reviews reviews the Motorola U9 and writes;
“With the flip open you shoot facing away from yourself and use the main screen as the viewfinder. Now you can get to the camera’s settings using the up and down controls on the navigation button to choose the type of setting (zoom, scene, exposure, lighting conditions etc) and then the left and right buttons to make selections. This system makes it really fast and easy to make changes.”

Register Hardware reviews the Motorola U9 and writes;
“The music performance from the U9 is perfectly fine; it has a typical music player interface with tracks arranged in regular categories. Tunes can be synchronised via the supplied USB cable with Windows Media Player 11 on a PC, or simply dragged and dropped on to the phone or its memory card storage…. Voice calling quality matched up to expectations too, with a clear, dependable performance in a variety of conditions.”

Pocket Gamer reviews the Motorola U9 and writes;
“Thankfully the U9 comes as a marked improvement, and this is largely thanks to the dimensions of the phone itself. While the RAZR2 was thin and therefore awkward to hold correctly when involved in some particularly heated gaming action, the U9 is slightly fatter and its rounded form sits more comfortably in the palm of the hand. The upshot of this is that your thumb rests better on the D-pad, resulting in a far superior degree of control.”
