LaptopMag reviews Logitech Z-10 (rating: 4/5) and writes;
“Our only complaint is that the touch controls were unresponsive at times. Nevertheless, the Logitech Z-10’s crisp sound, strong volume, and smooth, balanced bass make it an excellent entertainment companion for your notebook. Pros: Attractive design, Excellent sound quality, LCD readout. Cons: Finicky touch controls, Heavy.”
DigitalTrends reviews the Logitech Z-10 (rating: 8/10) and writes;
“The Logitech Z-10 speakers should be considered for what they are at the most basic level: great speakers. The sound quality rivals that of mid-priced 2.1 setups, but axes the need for an unsightly, annoying subwoofer. The added media controls are nice, but ultimately pointless. The LCD is useful because of the non-media functionality, and adds a little techno-gadgetry class to the glossy black audio gems. If the price doesn’t deter you, the Z-10s will fill a few niches left wide open by the current 2.0 and 2.1 offerings. Pros: Great looking LCD display, Touch sensitive controls, Excellent sound quality, Nice design elements Cons: Slightly buggy software, Requires external power, Do we really need media controls on the speaker? ”
Technudgelive reviews the Logitech Z-10 and writes;
“Just because they tell us that the Z-10’s use biamp audio to separately process and boost the audio to the woofer and tweeter, the proof is in how it sounds. I’ve listened to a wide variety of media, and the Z-10’s are very good, especially considering their size….Logitech has expanded the envelope of what a speaker peripheral can do. Not only do these speakers provide a high quality audio experience, but with their integrated screen and controls, they are a USB peripheral in their own right. For both the college dorm room, or the executive office, the styling is attractive. For those with space at a premium, the Logitech Z-10 Speakers will be a great sounding upgrade to their audio needs.”
PCMag reviews the Logitech Z-10 (rating: 3.5/5) and writes;
“The question I’ll often ask myself when reviewing products is: Will I be sad to see this cool toy leave my desk and get shipped back to the vendor? In the case of the Logitech Z-10 Interactive 2.0 Speaker System, the answer is yes. These speakers sound great, are fun to use, and their sexiness outweighs their minor glitches.”
EverythingUSB reviews the Logitech Z-10 and writes;<
“Logitech has put together a real exquisite set of speakers with the Z-10. Sound quality is phenomenal, with zero distortion and no overemphasized frequencies. Though there’s no kick to the bass, the 3″ mini woofers do an excellent job providing depth to a wide range of musical genres, and the 1″ tweeters sound exceptionally crisp. The LCD taken from the G15 keyboard is also a treat, providing lots of useful information without taking up your monitor’s real estate. Throw in the dozens of free applications such as virtual pets, RSS and chat readers written by the community for the display, and Logitech has a winner on their hands. Although I would have liked to see Mac support and more responsive controls, the Z-10 is highly recommended for any Windows users looking for a 2.0 desktop stereo system that reaks of quality. Pros: Unadulterated sound quality, Deep bass, Stylish design, 4 internet radio presets, Highly informative and customizable LCD, Auxiliary 3.5mm headphone and line-in jacks. Cons: Slightly larger footprint, Occasionally unpredictable touch sensitive controls, No Mac support, Bass lacks “kick” ”
CNET reviews the Logitech Z-10 (rating: 8/10) and writes;<
“The good: Stylish design; LCD screen that displays artist and track info; great sound for computer speakers; digital USB connection bypasses computer’s sound card; cool-looking touch-sensitive buttons; four internet radio presets. The bad: Artist information and control buttons are Windows only and only work with certain software music players; touch-sensitive buttons can be finicky; glossy black finish can smudge; no option to add subwoofer. The bottom line: Logitech’s Z-10 speakers are exceedingly stylish, sound great and are tightly integrated with most Windows-based software audio players. ”
TheTechLounge reviews the Logitech Z-10 and writes;
“When it comes to speakers, looks and features are great, but one thing is paramount: sound quality. While Logitech clearly spent a lot of time designing the Z-10 interactive speaker system to be stylish and feature-rich, they didn’t forget about sound quality. With some exceptions, these speakers really sound great… Rock music suffers from a lack of deep bass, and tunes that have a LOT going on in the lows will sound a bit muddied. The tweeters are generally crisp, but there are the occasional situations where they can’t keep up, such as with fast high hats.”
ComputerShopper reviews the Logitech Z-10 (rating: 3/5) and writes;
“Sound is clear and detailed, but has a slightly aggressive tone. The lack of a subwoofer helps to produce a focused sound, but bass is understated. Overall, sound quality is different from – but not obviously better than – that of Logitech’s X-230 set You pay a lot for the screen and controls, but if you haven’t room for a subwoofer they’re a decent choice.”

“All told, I was very happy with the Logitech Z-10 Interactive Speaker System. At first these seemed like an unlikely mix of their G15 keyboard and a stereo speaker set, but I started to really like the LCD and then the sound quality won me over. Every time it seems like stereo speakers on the PC are dead something cool like this comes along and reminds us that sometimes, especially when using high quality gear, two speakers are all it takes. For those people looking for something really interesting and stylish, such as a great gift or equipment to impress other people, the Z-10 is a fine choice. They combine the uber-cool with sound quality that gets close to justifying their hefty price tag. For many other people, especially the value-conscious, gamers, and cinema fans their money will be better spent on a more powerful 4.1 or 5.1 surround sound kit that will bring along a subwoofer in a cabinet and at least twice the wattage of this system.”

“in a market where every iPod speaker system seems to blend into each other with their ice white styling and so so audio quality this jet black speaker system with its backlit control and LCD panel not only looks great it sounds it too.”
