i also bought the LG Ke 970 phone, and i do appreciate the PDF, powerpoint and Word Doc viewers, went ahead to get applications for mobile browsing such as Opera mini, UCweb, mobile tribe, and knone of them could access the phones gprs, or even explore my phone, leaving me with the phone's default browser as my oly access to the net, and of course, we all know why we need an opera on our mobile. Does any one have a modding software for this sort of problem or a theme changer? cos i still wish not to have to regreet my visit to LG!

I had the LG Shine and I hated it so bad I gave it to my father-in-law. Because the only thing he does is answer his phone and sadly that's about all you can do with that phone.

I hated the fact that you couldn't send more than one ringtone bluetooth. And you couldn't assign a ringtone for any messages that you received. And that center knob was to hard to use.

I went to get me a new phone for Christmas and my son talked me into the LG VU. I was so pissed that night when I got home because it was the same piece of crap,

Needless to say I went back the next morning and got me the new Ericson. If you are looking for the best phone at&t has (next to the iphone) the Ericson is the only way to go. I lost my Ericson 580i and the new Ericson is even better. I love my Ericson and I will NEVER own another LG Anything. They couldn't give me one.

I've had this phone for a couple of months, and it isn't the best. It is pretty heavy and very wide, I do like the camera though. BUT you have to buy a lot of extra things just to put music on the phone. The screen gets finger prints very very easily. The exterior is very tough though. but i have started to notice the keys getting cracks down the middle of them, which bothers me very much. I have a warrenty on it, so I can live. I had the Sony Ericsson W580i before this phone and i liked it a lot more. but this is just my opinion.
The phone could be a lot better.

This phone is good but could be a lot better. It's kind of heavy, I couldn't import games via blutooth (you have to download them and pay data transfer fees), and I found no way of creating shortcuts, which was really whack but then I realized that the shortcuts that they have were pretty much the ones that I was going to create anyway so that ended up being no big deal.

The pros:
I bought a 4gb micro sd card and earbuds/ear bud adapter online for about $35 both total including shipping and taxes, which turned this phone into an mp3 player with some pretty damned good quality. I had no problems importing songs via bluetooth other than the files took a long ass time transferring so I was thinking about getting a data usb cable to see if the files transfer quicker...

Oh yeah, it's a 3G phone, which is useless unless you're willing to pay more monthly for an unimited data plan. If you are willing, then you can watch TV and listen to satellite radio and go online, etc. which makes this an iPHONE substitute.

i have had the lg shine for 1 DAY!!

and i absolutely love it!
only thing is i turned it off one time and when i turned it back on the laguage is in italian. i can understand a little bit so thats ok. I was going into the setting to change it back to english and it wouldnt let me scroll on the grid view of the menu. so i got out of the menu and went back in, it let me scroll that time but then stopped. i once again got out of it. i went back in the 3rd time and it comes up in list view and goes form one to another option eg. messages then contacts etc. and i can not select anything or scroll i can leave it for hours and nothing. it just changes from one to another every second! i have turned it off and on so many times and have even put my sim card in other phones. has anyone got a sloution to this please please help!! it will still let me ring in and out though so does anyone have a sloution??

nice phone, great look and very sophisticated BUT!!!!

1) scroll button is soooooo crap,so sick of selecting the wrong option in the menu...

2) the menu has alot to desire from nokia or SE handsets, some areas in the menu are dead ends!!! you need to press the END CALL button and start from the start since there is no back button at times. not to mention that if you select to use the camera or video...there is not way to turn it off other than opening the slide and once more pressing the END CALL button.

3) camera quality for a 2mega pixel camera is simple not good, its more like a 1mp camera.

4) speaker volume for ringtones and mp3 listening is poor...very poor..

5) NO THEMES!!!!!

6) its processor is soooooooooooooo slow it takes up too one minute to open a photo album and no i dont have huge file size images just what its camera takes..

so basicaly,if you are a novice its a great phone but if you have dealt before with sony ericsson or nokia phones this phone will let you down big time.

thankfully i have it as my second mobile so i dont really use its features or lack of features.

sorry LG but you need to try harder next time because as in the true world looks isnt the only thing that matters.

I have just bought this phone today, and i must say i was first of all impressed by the nice bundle and well made box. I recieved a 1 GB microSD card, stereo hands free and an usb connectivity cable. It all looked great, at first !! ..... But let`s just stard with the good parts. I have installed all the necessary drivers and software brought by the LG included cd, and after connecting the phone via usb ... the pc found it as 2 memory stick cards... with folders and all that stuff... I haven`t yet managed to use lg`s software as it couldn`t find the phone connected to the PC (strange !). The transfer started quickly and it worked just fine (aprox 700 kbps transfer speed). Creating folders is easy, and the phone finds them instantly. I became frustrated by the fact that mp3 player (as it is with full options) can be used only for the default files. To play the mp3 files from my microSD, i had to go to My Stuff and click play, and it stops after the end of every file. The options found in the mp3 player, such as equaliser, i could not find when i pressed play on a microSD file within My Stuff... the Options button is not to be found ... ! So i try a different approach, i clear the playlist of default files, and suddenly i have the mp3 player useless. Now, when i press the MP3 button on the rear of the phone, i just have a big black screen that says "Empty List" ... and i have a "Back" option ... that is all ! So i cannot create a new playlist, i cannot import one from my PC, i just have to play every song manually. What`s the use of good quality sound, great hands free with built in buttons like "volume + / -" .. play / pause, next / previous track... if you don`t have a damn playlist ! It`s simply a phone without any balancing, it has a lot of good stuff, like good camera, with lots of options, and autofocus, flash ... etc, great estetichs .. .but a LOT of bugs. If anyone figures out the mp3 problem please post. I`ll post my full impression after a few days. Hopefully I`m just too clumsy to figure out all there is, though I doubt. :|

I love this phone! Was looking around an AT&T store and this caught my eye, no other phone appealed to be except this one. The mirrored screen is eye candy. picture quality is just amazing, and how it appears to be a camera instead of a phone when taking pictures is awesome! battery life is very nice, 100x better than any other phone I have used. after a full day of texting and talking it remins at full batter meter. I don't know what you guys are talking about, I find it completely distinguishable even in direct sunlight. also I will note that the structure is very tough. it fell out of my pocket while skate and bounced a couple of times off the pavement, and it is still in like new condition. the only thing I dislike is the delay in keypad lock when you slide it shut, autolock would be much better.
