TrustedReviews have reviewed the LG KG920 where they rate the phone 7/10 and write;
“The Xenon flash works fairly well indoors though, and in general images were a lot clearer and sharper, and delivered better colour than I am used to seeing with a phone camera. ..The KG920 is definitely all about the camera and its features score reflects the quality of the images it shoots. As a handset it is chunky, and its non camera related phone features are something of a disappointment. Without the camera’s goodness it would have stuggled to score more than a six.”
CNET have reviewed the LG KG920 where they rate the phone 7/10 and write;
“In our hands, the KG920 feels very solid. It’s definitely not the lightest, nor the slimmest phone around. But from a digital imaging perspective, which is possibly one of the strongest features of this phone, a firm grip usually helps in taking pictures. No one is going to stop you if you want to hang this camera-phone around your neck and you can do so by looping a lanyard on the top-left corner of this LG…The bottom line: If you are willing to look past its shortcomings, the LG KG920 is an excellent replacement for your obsolete digital camera with its 5-megapixel CCD and high-quality captures. “
MobileBurn have reviewed the LG KG920 and write;
“Coming to the final part of this review, I really wish that I could have more good news for everyone, because I have actually considered buying one of these for myself. After spending time with it, I cannot say I am convinced to pay the US$670 asking price, though. We knew right from the start that the KG920 was meant to be an expensive phone, due to the fact that LG has packed some impressive technology in the casing. Unfortunately, the phone simply failed to impress apart from its camera, which is not problem-free either. The slow menu and clumsy shutter button might have already turned away a lot of potential buyers. It is also impossible to consider the KG920 solely on its camera when it cannot act as a standalone imaging device, due to the fact that there is no Flight Mode and the camera will not start without a SIM card.”
3GUK have reviewed the LG KG920 and write;
“The quality of video recording was also a little disappointing. The KG920 could only muster QVGA (320×240 pixels) instead of the VGA that has been mooted on various tech websites. Video is shot in 3GP or MPEG4 format at 30 frames a second and while it’s not the best video performance we’ve seen – drag and digital noise does occur – the quality is decent enough for fun and frolics…The KG920 looks like a serious alternative to a good-quality compact digital camera, and would be ideal for anyone who actually enjoys photography and has been frustrated by camera phone image quality up until now, or anyone who just likes printing their images poster size.”
MobileReview have reviewed the LG KG920 and write;
“The sounding of 64 tone polyphony is just enough to be heard well, and various tunes make the experience even more favorable. Lack of function to assign personal ring tones is frustrating, yet may be made up with group settings. Vibration alarm is average when talking about its power, anyway, it could be a little bit more intensive, so that while walking in earphones, it would be felt well…On the whole, the product is targeted at “advanced” youth, in other words people who are not capable to earn their living, but have lots of spare money. Nonetheless people under 40, who tend to go out a lot will find this device appealing owing to it being a great replacement for a digital camera this summer. The camera’s specs provided in the handset will probably remain unbeaten until this year’s winter – but before that, LG KG920 will stay on top. “
