Lexmark X5470 is an All-in-one with Fax and Photo, which was released on 5th November 2006. The Lexmark claims to have print speed of 25 pages per minute (ppm) black and 18 ppm color. Other features of Lexmark X5470 include; Fast Pics and Imaging Studio Software, Web Toolbar, and PictBridgeTM cameras. Lexmark X5470 is available at a price of 599 AED.

PCWorld have reviewed the Lexmark X5470 where they rate the printer 72/100 and write;
“In our print-quality tests using the standard cartridges, text printed darkly, but characters could have been crisper and we saw much horizontal banding. Line art suffered from fuzzy lines, gritty textures in closely spaced blocks, and some narrow banding. Photos that were printed with four inks on plain paper looked atrocious–a combination of overly visible dithering, fuzzy details, banding, and posterization effects. However, glossy photos that were printed using all six inks looked much better, if slightly grainy. They fell short of the best quality we saw from competing MFPs, though. Scan quality also was below par, but as a copier the X5470 did a decent job for an inkjet.”

“Setting up the X5470 was suitably simple; it’s been quite a long time since we’ve seen a printer that didn’t come with straightforward installation instructions, and the software install is likewise quite straightforward. Once we got into printing, we found that the X5470 did very well on straight black prints, which it delivered with a solid level of quality and at quite a nice speed…The good: Stylish design, very quick black printing. The bad: Prone to paper jams.”

“Photocopies can use either the flatbed scanner or the single-page document feeder on top. Pages are generally produced in around 30 seconds from the flatbed, and the results are very good. Whether copying mono or colour documents, the copies ape the original very closely. Scans to file are the best of all three MFDs, with bold colours and the least grain and striping.”

“Photo prints, as we’ve noted before on Lexmark machines, are considerably better than plain paper prints, relevant to their main rivals. Colours are a little over vivid, but nothing objectionable, and there’s some micro-banding noticeable, though prints are still OK for everyday use…This is a good looking all-in-one machine, in a chunky sort of way, is easy to set up and use and is quite feature-rich for its asking price.”
