Digital Trends reviews the Lenovo ThinkPad X60, they rated it 7.5/10 and write:
“According to the IBM website, the X60 gets upwards of 7.5 hours of battery life. This is with the optional 8-cell Lithium Ion battery. The standard battery is 4-cell, which logically gets half the battery life - just under 4 hours. Of course, manufacturer’s battery ratings are often higher than real-world results. If you’re a road warrior who needs to crank away at your reports during the entire length of a cross-country flight, the 8-cell battery is your best bet. The 8-cell battery weighs 1lb…Highs: feels fast and nimble; amazing 4GB RAM capacity; excellent battery life; biometric security. Lows: thick body (with dock); no built-in optical drive; busy keyboard.”
BiosMag reviews the Lenovo ThinkPad X60, they rated it 9/10 and write:
“The system is extremely well built and the keyboard is very comfortable considering its size. The choice of XGA or SXGA+ MultiTouch displays allows you to save money if necessary, and port selection for an ultraportable is superb. And best of all you get excellent performance from Intel’s Core Duo processor and 7200rpm hard disk drive…Verdict: Best-in-class balance of comfort, performance, battery life, & portability. PROS: Fantastic build quality; extremely secure; good performance & battery life; MultiTouch display. CONS: No internal optical drive; basic mono speaker; no ThinkLight.”
LaptopMag reviews the Lenovo ThinkPad X60, they rated the laptop 4.5/5 and write:
“With its signature matte black finish, bulletproof build quality, and superb keyboard, the 3.7-pound X60 Tablet (with stock four-cell battery) is more compact, usable, and sturdy than any ultralight convertible we have used. Unlike some lightweights, this one is well balanced, so it doesn’t teeter on your lap, and it feels firm under a good key pounding. The keyboard itself has oversized Enter and Shift keys on both sides, an offset directional pad, and that great Lenovo/IBM feedback. Nothing beats it.”
Notebook-Review reviews the Lenovo ThinkPad X60, they write:
“The X60t comes with a new pen design. The feel of the pen against the screen is better than the X41t. It just feels more natural, more like you’re actually putting a pen to paper. The resistance is just right…The XGA MultiTouch display and SXGA+ offering are outstanding options, the MultiView is also really nice for a tablet pc where you’ll be using it in all types of lighting environments and holding it at various angles. The port selection for an ultraportable is superb. The keyboard is as good as ever. The build is ThinkPad solid, there’s no flex anywhere on the body. The battery life is as good as it can be.”
CNET reviews the Lenovo ThinkPad X60, they rated the laptop 8.4/10 and write:
“…ThinkPad’s keyboard is larger than those laptops’, making it the better choice if comfortable typing is more valuable to you than viewing CDs and DVDs. In general, if you can do without a built-in optical drive, we think the ThinkPad X60s delivers a best-in-class balance of comfort, performance, battery life, and portability.”
Consumer-Guide Products reviews the Lenovo ThinkPad X60, they rated the laptop 4/5 and write:
“Internet connectivity is not a problem with these portable computers. There’s a built-in modem and gigabit Ethernet, so you can connect to a high-speed corporate network at a good clip. And the built-in 802.11a/b/g WiFi lets you jump on the Net at any hotspot you come across…This ultraportable runs at pretty low power, as battery life approaches nearly four hours on its default four-cell battery. For $100, you can opt for the eight-cell battery and double the life, giving you extended power for international flights and long hours on the road.”
Tabletpc2 previews the Lenovo ThinkPad X60, they write:
“Favourite feature: The Tablet Shortcut and ThinkVantage buttons that let you access settings and features and information literally at the touch of a button. ThinkVantage also allows the user to the ability to customize the Quick Links shown so the user has access to the features they use most…The Pros: Lightweight, Multiple configurations, Excellent screen, ThinkVantage software. The Cons: Mono speaker.”
