DigitalTrends reviews the Lenovo ThinkPad T60p (rating: 8.5/10) and writes;

“The Lenovo T60p is an excellent laptop with tons of positive features. It’s fast, relatively battery-efficient and has a gorgeous 15.4″ widescreen LCD with an impressive 1680×1050 screen res. The Hard drive and RAM are upgradeable post-purchase and the built-in DVD burner covers all the popular CD and DVD formats. What can’t be upgraded or enhanced internally can generally be added as a peripheral. The T60p is a very complete package and it is very reliable. Lenovo ThinkPad laptops are typically marketed towards executives, professionals and mobile “road warrior” types whose careers and economic futures depend on fast, reliable and robust equipment. The T60p is a machine that will satisfy those types of critical needs while still allowing for fun and creativity in between megamerger negotiations. I would absolutely recommend the T60p for corporate and personal use. “

PCMag reviews the Lenovo ThinkPad T60p (rating: 4.5/5) and writes;

“The “p” in the T60p stands for performance, and wow, does it perform. It comes with the 2.33-GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T7600, the fastest Intel Core 2 Duo processor money can buy. And the 4GB of RAM will makes short work of Vista’s requirements. Both the processor and system memory drove Adobe Photoshop scores beyond the competition. On CineBench 9.5, it clearly took advantage of dual-core processing, surpassing the Gateway NX570X’s score by 16 percent. Although I couldn’t test with the latest version of MobileMark (2007), an industry-standard battery-life test, I was able to run down a DVD movie that exhausted the nine-cell battery in 2 hours 51 minutes. Obviously, you’ll get more battery life performing less demanding tasks such as surfing the Web, running spreadsheets, and playing music.”

NotebookReview reviews the Lenovo ThinkPad T60p and writes;

“I am really happy with my purchase so far. The biometrics security and the IPS screen is my favorite part. For anyone considering a different notebook that doesn’t use IPS technology, they should think twice. The IPS screen is a huge difference. I believe this is a must buy notebook for any business user where security and durability is important. Pros: Flexview screen using IPS- Best screen I’ve ever owned on a notebook, Keyboard- Alps, Classic business black color, Trackpoint, Overall is a very sturdy build, Intel Core-Duo is fast!. Cons: AC adapter- first one I had was noisy, it doesn’t have a ground post, 9 cell battery is too heavy, Slight flex in the palm rest, No firewire, no multi-card reader, no DVI (I could care less about a s-video port)”

HardwareInReview reviews the Lenovo ThinkPad T60p and writes;

“Battery life was outstanding, and if it isn’t outstanding enough for you, spend the extra money to get the extended 9-cell battery. Even working with several programs at once in KDE while playing music and browsing the Web, I could squeeze almost 3 hours of usage out of the 6-cell battery (probably closer to 5 hours if I used the command line interface and stuck to editing text files and such, but that’s just a guess based on previous power consumption research). Apparently there is yet a further degree that you can stretch your battery time by buying an Ultrabay battery that fits in the optical drive slot.”

TrustedReviews reviews the Lenovo ThinkPad T60p (rating: 9/10) and writes;

“It’s great to see that Lenovo is still building ThinkPads the way that IBM used to. The T60p is a truly excellent mobile computer, with the credentials to do what even most high-end desktops aren’t capable of. The price is very high, but if you really need to run 3D modelling or CAD software on the move, you’d be hard pushed to find a better designed, configured and built mobile solution than this.”

CNET reviews the Lenovo ThinkPad T60p (rating: 7.1/10) and writes;

“The good: Slick, professional design; bundled ThinkVantage security applications. The bad: Display is not wide screen; upgraded specs can double the price. The bottom line: The Lenovo ThinkPad T60P, the go-to laptop for button-down business users, makes a largely effortless transition to Windows Vista. “
