IT-Reviews reviews the Pro Evolution Soccer 6, they write:
“The primary improvement is that the matches themselves are that bit quicker and zippier than last year, with tempered improvements to the through ball. The problems with defender AI have been corrected well, and the game feels slightly tougher as a result…The master league remains a single player challenge to behold, as you try to take a team from the bottom to the top, using your skill and a notoriously tough transfer market. It might lack most of the real team names, and the leagues aren’t FIFA-accurate, but it’s a proper, hardened challenge, the kind which should rightly delight the true football game aficionado.”

Computerandvideogames previews the Pro Evolution Soccer 6, they write:
“The most apparent change you’ll clock is player animations. There are loads more of them sprinkled throughout the game: strikers slam their fists into the pitch after dragging a shot wide of the post and look to the heavens after scuffing a golden opportunity as if to ask if some higher power is conspiring against them… Better yet, if you pull the camera right out in a match and sit well away from your telly, you’ll still recognise which player the little speck on the screen is supposed to be simply by the way he moves. Dribbling styles are incredibly accurate and the way a player wraps his expensive clodhoppers around the ball varies immensely.”

StrategyInformer previews the Pro Evolution Soccer 6, they rated the game 7.5/10 and write:
“The auto-targeting system for passing has changed slightly, making it harder to specify who you want to pass to. Additionally, back-heels and first-touch passes appear to be slightly less effective. Step-overs and various other ball-skills have been improved slightly, but thankfully not enough that they are anything more than a way of embarrassing your opposition…Apparently the game engine has been altered in subtle ways to make player interaction more physical. “
