AnythingButIpod reviews the iRiver S10 and writes;
“Overall, the S10 is a very nice player. It packs features which rival those of larger players, has great sound quality and leaves an incredibly tiny foot print. The battery life is one of its major downfalls; 8 hours isn’t going to get you far. Nevertheless, it makes a great player for listening to while exercising, commuting to work or school and even while simply relaxing at home. Although, you’d better get used to all the attention you’ll get from people who are astounded by its tiny size!”

CNET reviews the iRiver S10 and writes;
“The good: The iRiver S10 features a cute, wearable design with an innovative, clickable screen; the bright OLED screen makes for easy navigation. The player includes nice extras such as an FM tuner, voice recorder, and alarm clock. It also plays OGG files and offers good sound quality. The bad: The iRiver S10 is expensive, suffers from an unimpressive battery life, and doesn’t support DRM-protected music. It also doesn’t have a hold switch and, oddly, does not support JPEG photos. It may be too tiny for some users. The bottom line: The undeniably cute iRiver S10 sounds great and is packed with features, but its lofty price tag and paltry battery life might be a deterrent for some users.”

T3UK reviews the iRiver S10 and writes;
“Sonically it’s a mixed bag. There’s a decent amount of bass for your buck, but distortion throws darts in the eyes of your listening pleasure, and the supplied headphones are dire. The eight-hour battery life is no great shakes, either. This titchy device isn’t going to sate everyone’s musical hunger – especially if you have demanding ears, bestially large hands, or an inability to remember to regularly recharge your player. For its tiny size, however, it’s undeniably impressive. ”

LordPercy reviews the iRiver S10 and writes;
“Replay quality was a mixed bag with the standard earphones sound frankly awful with nasty distortion and they are uncomfortable as hell too. However switch to something a bit better (we were swamped with Cresyn units at the time of testing) and the audio quality improves to a level where the distortion is gone and it is more than passable. Ogg tracks sound really tight with an average amount of bass and MP3 sound pretty good too.”

CNET Australia reviews the iRiver S10 and writes;
“We tested battery life using 240MB of MP3 files played on a continuous loop at our test volume. The S10 beat its own rated time with a result of 8 hours 29 minutes, which was tremendous given its tiny size and colour screen….The bottomline: The iriver S10 may have its shortfalls, but it’s all at the expense of size. At least, from the standpoint of a mini MP3 player, it’s probably the best that money can buy. ”

GadgetGuy reviews the iRiver S10 and writes;
“There are some limitations that are seemingly inherent in making a portable music player quite this small, but the S10 takes those assumptions and dropkicks them out of the park; it’s an incredibly capable player for its size, and unless you’re totally enamoured of the whole iPod/iTunes experience, we can’t see any reason not to the buy the S10 over the Shuffle.”

Pocketables reviews the iRiver S10 and writes;
“I’m incredibly pleased and impressed with the sound quality and customization options offered on the S10… The iriver S10 is the best low-capacity flash DAP I’ve ever had. What other players have that it doesn’t, however, is U.S. availability. Personally, I think the player is well worth the extra cost. The S10 is a delectable little DAP that does so much so well. It’s remarkable in sound quality, size, customization, and extra features; it’s easy and comfortable to use; and my god it’s lovely to look at. Longer battery life and increased storage capacity would be welcomed improvements, sure, but both are becoming such standard complaints that I don’t consider them to be deal breakers. ”
