” Pros: Competitive price, Versatile media player. Cons: Unintuitive interface, Mediocre audio…The desktop software was useful for converting and transferring a couple of videos from my desktop to the E100. But iRiver Plus 3 couldn’t handle several Windows Media Video files, and it wasn’t clear why. Still, the converted YouTube video I played on the E-100’s 320-by-240-pixel display looked clear, crisp, and faithful to the original.”

” Iriver’s UI has always been a strong point since they are easy to use and relatively intuitive. There may be a slight learning curve in that track forward and back are located on the bottom and top of the directional pad..The player is rated at 25 hours audio and 5 video. Audio was no where near the rated and fell around 20 hours under two test. For video it was about 4 to 4.5 hours. The speaker on or off had no effect on battery life.”

Part of this success comes from the use of the SRS WOW HD technology…Photo display is also very enjoyable, fast and easy thanks to the D-Click system. The E100 also gives the user the ability to create slideshows and add music to them.”
