If you want a good converter I recommend you check out this site: http://www.dvdvideosoft.com/. You can also convert Youtube videos to Mpeg-4 form. And it's totally free! :D

if you are looking to convert videos from any format to mp4 format and to get them into itunes and fro there onto your ipod then isquint is your best option. it has an add to itunes feature and is free. all you need to do is to drag and drop a file into its window and si back and wait.

What I've done with my songs that doesn't have any album artwork, I just looked up the album on google then right click on the album image on google and copy it. Then in Itunes, highlight the song title and go to more info then paste it on the fits tab on the right side.

I've been using Handbrake to convert the movie. If the movie has copyright, use DVD Shrink (google it). Once its been decripted using DVD Shrink, find the [Movie title} Video_TS and load it onto handbrake then select the ipod low rez or high rez on the right panel and run it.

I got an 80 gig ipod classic around Christmas, and it begain to freeze up so i exchanged it for another. The current one that I have just did the same thing. It's really, very aggravating, and I would appreciate it if someone could share some advice on how to prevent it from doing so.

I recently purchased the 80gb version of the classic to integrate into my car audio system. Needless to say, it was a waste of money! My Alpine head unit, nor any of Alpines current accessories will support the video from the Classic, and unlike my other ipod, I cant even control the audio from it via the head unit. Does anyone know of an accessory that will make the Classic work with the IVA series of head units?

I have tried to play videos on my ipod classic 160 gig but have been coming up short. I downloaded countless video converters but none of them work.
can someone please tell me what to do? I want to convert videos and watch them directly on my ipod.

Oh, and a lot of the hacker software isn’t compatible with these ipods….yet.

Actually, just like the 2ndGen Nano, the 6th Gen Classic, and all other iPods have encrypted firmware, and will most likely never be supported,
pity, =(

My 30G ipod was stolen yesterday. I paid $350 for it over 2 years ago. Since my insurance covered it, I bought a new ipod classic. I can't believe I got 80G for $250! I have to buy a new computed for my last ipod because I didn't have enough memory, now I'll have to either get a new laptop or an external hard drive. I love the bigger screen, options available, and artwork flow. I can see it better in the car. Plus, the battery is great! Also, it is compatible with all the accessories I already had (docking speakers, etc.)

I do, however, have one complaint. I did buy one game for $4.99 before I realized I had a 6th generation, not a 5th. Apparently a lot of people made the same mistake. Live and learn I guess! I am looking forward to getting some new games at the end of the month.
