+ REVIEWS:

TrustedReviews reviews the HP Photosmart A618, they rated the printer 8/10 and write:
“You don’t really have to install this printer at all; it’ll work quite happily without being connected to any external device. Just plug in a memory card or a PictBridge camera and you can display and select images to print. An automatic fix takes care of things like redeye and improves colour rendition in shadow. You can zoom in to select an area of an image and add simple effects like sepia or black-and-white colouring and a variety of jazzy frames…The main advantages of this printer over its predecessors are the larger 18 x 13cm prints it can produce and the fully integrated Bluetooth support; you need no plug in dongle, here.”

VNunet reviews the HP Photosmart A618, they rated the printer 3/5 and write:
“Print quality is good, with smooth colour transitions and fine detail from HP’s Vivera ink, though some shadow detail, even with PhotoFix image enhancement, was lost in our test prints. HP supplies consumables in packs for 60 or 120, 15 x 10cm prints, including ink cartridge and print blanks and the 120 print pack pricing gives a cost per print of just 18p, which is very good.”

ITreviews reviews the HP Photosmart A618, they write:
“The Photosmart A618 has a hinged, 60mm LCD screen in the centre of its top panel to preview and select the pictures you want to print. To the right of this there’s a four-way ring-button with an ‘OK’ button in the middle to navigate the menus, and to the left is a cluster of four more buttons. These select options like PhotoFix and layouts for multiple pictures per sheet. Other buttons are scattered around the top panel.”

Pocket-lint reviews the HP Photosmart A618, they write:
“The A618 as we’ve mentioned offers a Photo Fix button and this promises to remove red-eye, improve colour and sharpen photos. The results work well and no matter how much we tried we were very pleased with the photos the printer produced…The good: Small and compact, Bluetooth, Easy to use, Photo Fix option. The bad: Battery to make it truly portable is an optional extra. We say: Those looking to print their digital images without necessary including the PC won’t go wrong here.”
