Pavilion tx1000 is an ultra-portable convertible Tablet PC released by HP featuring 12.1 inch LCD display with 1280 x 800 pixels, 160 GB Hard drive, 2GB RAM, Windows Vista ready, Lightscribe Super Multi 8X DVD+/-RW, 2 kg of weight and runs on AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-56 (1.8GHz).

PCworld has a review of the Pavilion tx1000 ;
“The tablet has an easy-to-use touch screen, though HP doesn’t include a stylus or a place to stow one, so you have to tap the screen with your fingertip. The screen’s responsiveness is quite good, however…Pros: Tablet is easy to use, features a unique touchpad. Cons: Battery life is poor, screen is hard to see.”

TabletPCreview has a review of the Pavilion tx1000 ;
“The screen swivels in a clockwise manner with ease to turn the notebook into a Tablet. The hinge has some flex, but works great. The Tablet or swivel mode is nice for watching movies or giving presentations. There is also a mini remote control that can be stashed in the ExpressCard slot, this comes in handy for those lazy days when you want to stay in bed and control a movie as the tx1000 sits on your nightstand!…The fact that the tx1000 has a touchscreen is nice. You can use your fingertip to close applications, move them around or, if your fingers are small enough, to poke around in menus.”

CNET Australia has a review of the Pavilion tx1000 rated it 7.1/10 and writes;
“The good: Innovative design, unique touchpad, touch screen doesn’t require stylus, not expensive. The bad: slightly thicker than it should be, glossy screen can be hard to read. The bottomline: HP’s first Vista-based laptop, the Pavilion tx1000, is an unusual but largely successful hybrid, combining a tablet design with an entertainment-focus.”
