LaptopMag have reviewed the HP Pavilion dv2000t where they rate the notebook 4/5 and write;
“Aside from the design, the star attraction of the dv2000t is the 14.1-inch widescreen LCD. The HP BrightView screen delivered deep, rich colors during DVD playback, with some motion blur, which is typical of most laptop panels. The WXGA (1280 x 800-pixel) resolution is comfortable for work and play. Viewing-angle performance was very good side to side, but from above the screen looked washed out—again, typical for the current generation of widescreen laptop LCDs.”

Arajani reviewed the HP Pavilion dv2000t where he rated the notebook 8.5/10 and wrote;
“It may seem like there are a lot of thumbs down, but all in all I’m very happy with this purchase. This notebook doesn’t feel flimsy and it is definitely up to my standards in terms of performance, aesthetics, weight, and battery life. This is a great all around notebook. The DV2000t represents a major leap forward for HP, which has been known to make cheaper, run-of-the-mill notebooks with little attention to design or flare. HP now enters a new echelon of fashionable notebooks that are packed with features. It may, however, take some time for them to blend function and style properly. I can forgive the non-palm friendly chassis and trackpad, but the limited swivel on the LCD monitor is a real nightmare.”

DigitalTrends reviewed the HP Pavilion dv2000t where he rated the notebook 8/10 and wrote;
“Build quality on the HP dv2000t is better-than-average for an entry-level notebook. The screen hinge feels sturdy, although there is a small ripple on the screen when the lid is bumped. The lid is latchless, and if it were not for the mild ripple on the LCD screen, the notebook feels superb. As with some of the other notebooks we’ve reviewed recently, the screen only opens to approximately 120 degrees. Like the previous dv1000 class notebook from HP, the battery fits securely and snugly.”
