ITreviews reviews the HP iPAQ hw6915, they write:
“There’s more to the device than GPS, though, as it has a 1.3-megapixel camera built into its back. Turn the PDA sideways and press a button on its side - which doubles as a camera power switch and shutter release - and you have a 76mm LCD screen for the digital camera. Picture quality is as good as most camera phones and you can record videos, too… the iPAQ hw6915 is a Windows Mobile PDA, with Word, Excel and Powerpoint in pocket versions. You can e-mail from it and play back all manner of music files. There’s a slot for a Mini SD card, which can provide up to 1GB of extra storage, to add to the 192MB provided internally.”
Vnunet reviews the HP iPAQ hw6915, they rated the phone 4/5 and write:
“The key feature of the iPAQ hw6915, which separates it from most of its competitors, is the built-in GPS receiver. There’s no clip-on backpack to fit and not even an aerial to flip up…Good points: Internal GPS with maps, 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth and Wifi built in. Bad points: Internal memory may need supplementing. Overall: The HP iPAQ hw6915 is everything you could want in a handheld computer, though at an early-adopter price”
Pocket Lint reviews the HP iPAQ hw6915, they rated the phone 9/10 and write:
“In our testing we found the QWERTY keyboard to be flatter than the Palm Treo 650 and therefore easier to use, but not as wide as the BlackBerry 8700 and it will require nimble fingers. Still, it’s certainly good enough for emails and note taking…The hw6900 seems to have it all; phone, wireless connection, an easy to use QWERTY keyboard, push email similar to the BlackBerry and even TomTom navigation with a built in GPS all in a package no bigger than packet of Maltesers.”
Infosync reviews the HP iPAQ hw6915, they rated the phone 70% and write:
“Conclusion: The unique selling point of the HP iPAQ hw6915 is its integrated GPS support - which also happens to be the sole feature of this business phone which truly shines. Above-par performance and a large screen are both good and well, but come at the expense of battery life. Also, the screen is of too low resolution to be much good for document management, and when coupled with mediocre data entry allows for only light work. Its unfortunate lack of 3G aside, it does however offer excellent connectivity as well as favourable one-handed navigation.”
