HP Compaq dc7800 Reviews
IT Reviews reviews the HP Compaq dc7800 and writes;
“As well as the stylish design and small footprint, we found the dc7800 Ultra-slim to be a lot quieter than most desktops, thanks to the use of low energy components more commonly associated with mobile computing systems. These require minimal cooling and a lot less power than a standard PC’s, the dc7800 consuming around 80 watts in use and 10 in hibernation mode.”

PCmag reviews the HP Compaq dc7800 and writes;
“Pros: EPEAT Silver and Energy Star 4.0 certifications. Energy efficient. Available in three models. Easy-open case. VGA and DVI ports. Fast, yet energy efficient processor. 3-year warranty. Cons: Only 1GB of memory. No internal expansion space. Only 80GB hard drive. Notebook-class optical drive. External power brick. Drab exterior.”

Hardware Central reviews the HP Compaq dc7800 and writes;
“With the LCD-monitor tsunami washing CRTs off desktops everywhere, you can expect to see more and more PC makers unite the display and PC as a desk-space-saving duo. The HP Compaq dc7800 is a versatile example, even if it sacrifices expandability for size and its price climbs as you add extra options. It’s a worthy addition to the growing ranks of cool cubicle choices. ”

“And it’s a pretty nice monitor too. Clear and bright with a maximum resolution of 1,280×1,024, and there’s a counterbalanced mechanism to slide the screen up and down or tilt it back for comfortable viewing, making for a very usable as well as a stylish solution.”

PC Pro reviews the HP Compaq dc7800 and writes;
“It all makes the Ultra Slim a desirable PC for many environments. It’s small, functional and powerful. Again, the strengths of Fujitsu Siemens’ Esprimo E5916 are worth considering, but the Ultra Slim offers some tangible benefits for the £500 price.”

CNET reviews the HP Compaq dc7800 and writes;
“Pros: Comes with Microsoft Windows vista business and Microsoft Windows vista OS, which is somewhat more powerful than some similarly priced PCs. In fact, the typical cost of a product with a comparable set of operating systems is $970. Also, this PC has a stereo sound output mode. This is more favorable than the average PC on the market today, but is to be expected for a PC of this price.”
