GPSMagazine reviews the Pocket LOOX N100 and writes;
“Pocket LOOX does manage to squeeze in some innovative features, such as Brand Icons, displaying highway road signs, speed limit notification, and many vehicle profile options (there’s even a “scenic route” profile).However, overall the Pocket LOOX is too slow, too complicated, and the text layout is too small. Given the relatively high $500 price tag, I also felt the Pocket LOOX should have included Bluetooth and Text-to-Speech. Oh, and did I mention it was slow?”

CNET reviews the Pocket LOOX N100 and writes;
“We found the unit to be real sluggish at times. I consider myself a pretty patient person, but there are times when I was ready to walk away from this device. For example, it took over a minute for the Navigator app to launch. This also brings up the issue we mentioned in the Design section. There were times when we’d hit an icon, such as the music player, and nothing would happen for a few seconds, so we were left wondering if our tap didn’t register or if we had to tap it twice. This happened a lot when we first started using the N100, but we eventually realized it’s just slow. Either way, it’s incredibly frustrating…The bottom line: Poor performance mars the otherwise nicely designed and navigation and multimedia-filled Fujitsu Siemens Pocket LOOX N100.”

Reghardware reviews the Pocket LOOX N100 and writes;
“Speed cameras aside, Fujitsu Siemens’ Pocket Loox N100 performed like a charm. Route selection has so far proved to be prudent and despite the occasional stutter, the software looks good and feels responsive. Since the N100 will make it to store shelves bearing a price tag of around £250 it should be a phenomenal success even without the speed-camera data. The N100 is small and stylish but doesn’t compromise on performance to achieve it. One for tech-heads and hardened travellers alike”

PCMag reviews the Pocket LOOX N100 and writes;
“Compared with the Mio Digiwalker H610, the travel-related features on the Pocket LOOX come up short. There’s a four-time-zone world clock, a four-function calculator, and two “retro” games that look like the original Breakout and Pac-Man titles. Sadly, the Pocket LOOX lacks the currency converters, units of measurement converters, area code/country codes, and packing-list assistant found on the Digiwalker H610…The Bottom Line: Though its travel features aren’t as robust as those of other devices, the Pocket LOOX includes a number of navigation tools I’ve never seen before.”

LordPercy reviews the Pocket LOOX N100 and writes;
“Priced at around £250 the Fujitsu Pocket Loox N100 is a really competent GPS navigation system which for its sized is quite an achievement, it is highly portable and the four hour battery makes navigating on foot or bike a real possibility. It is not a TomTom unit but the Navigon software is a close second to the class leader and for someone looking for a highly compact and yet stylish navigator this could be exactly what you are looking for.”

NaviGadget reviews the Pocket LOOX N100 and writes;
“Fujitsu Pocket LOOX N100 packs a lot of features and into its stylish small body. It is very portable, the menus are very easy get used to, 3D graphics are cool and fast. Everything we talked about in this review worked right out of the box without having to refer to the manual even once. Speaking of that, we’re sure we would’ve discovered other little cool tricks if we did. $500 price tag also seems to be right – compared other GPS navigators that have the same set of functions and usually 2 – 3 times bigger in size.”

I am thinking of buying a pocket loox her in the U.S. Can I load maps of europe into it and take it with me for walking in Paris and Rome?
i think the unit is quite interesting I have a tendency to like tiny gadgets and this one does qualify . The thing of it is the retro games stink and being the unit runs on windows CE 5.0 I understand WHAT does it take to get M$’s solitaire on the blame thing and running??? other than that it is quite small in teh print and it is confused when I took it on my mail delivery runs and attempted to take me everywhere else but the straightest line between 2 points. Maybe if I could get solitiare on the unit it would be more than a windshield ornament and thief bait.
Dont bother wasting your money on this useless and yet retarded device. You wont get a fast or any reception and this thing will leave you lost in the dust. I recommend going for a brand name that is known for there quality and reliable feedback. I thought this is cheap and good but til time come now you know why cheap stuff is not worth putting money into. You watch and read almost every reviews on this product and they say ‘best this best that” remember these guys are just advertising and brainwashing you into buying this… but listen to me its not worth it…
