+ REVIEWS (last updated: 12/02/07)

Notebook Review has a review of the Fujitsu LifeBook N6420;
“The touchpad seems to be improved from the N6410 as well; the buttons are more responsive and have a good solid feel, no annoying loud click, just a solid feel and sound. The addition of a fingerprint sensor is also cool, it works pretty well as a scroll panel, and the included software works well to control passwords…I am impressed with the performance of the Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 2.0 GHz CPU, and the ATi X1600 GPU. The power of the Core 2 Duo alone makes me want to upgrade to the latest and greatest from Intel. The benchmarks will tell part of the story, but in terms of real world performance, I have been able to compare this directly to my N6210 with a Pentium M 1.86Ghz CPU, and let’s just say the results are extremely impressive. “

CNET has a review of the Fujitsu LifeBook N6420 and rated it 7.3/10;
“Even without the Visual Optimizer, the 17-inch wide-screen display looks good, although it has a native resolution of 1,440×900–many high-end 17-inch laptops have a resolution of 1,920×1,200. The included Windows Media Center remote and receiver add even more flexibility, as you can set up the laptop across the room and kick back for a small-scale cinematic experience…The good: Includes HD-DVD drive and Core 2 Duo processor; full keyboard with number pad; cheaper than many other HD-DVD laptops. The bad: Poor battery life; visual optimizer function didn’t deliver; could use more RAM and a faster hard drive; lacks DVI-out port.”

PCMag has a review of the Fujitsu LifeBook N6420 and rated it 2.5/5;
“At a hefty 9.6 pounds, the N6420 is most definitely in the desktop-replacement camp. The display quality and color saturation on the 17-inch widescreen are undeniably vivid, and the 1,440-by-900 resolution is good enough for both crunching spreadsheets and watching HD DVD movies. If you’re a hard-core HD enthusiast, there are laptops that have true HD resolutions (1,920-by-1,200) that run at 1080p, such as the Toshiba Qosmio G35-AV660 and Sony VAIO VGN-AR190G.”
