“The Epson Stylus DX7400 would make a decent addition to a home or small office user looking for an affordable machine to meet general printing, scanning and copying needs. There are much more powerful and capable all-in-ones on the market if you intend to print high quality photographs or scans, but the DX7400 is unquestionably good value. There’s no fax or wireless print options, but again this is reflected in the price. In addition, the individual ink cartridges are also cost effective to operate as you only have to replace each colour that is used, though these do cost around £5 each (£20 for a full set).”

The new Epson Stylus DX7400 Series and Epson Stylus DX8400 Series all-in-one four colour inkjet printers boast fast print speeds and Epson’s DURABrite™ Ultra Ink for high-quality printing, scanning and copying.
20th August 2007 – The Stylus DX7400 and DX8400 Series combine all the essential components for the home and home office. A new print head design delivers fast print speeds of up to 32ppm and it takes approximately 26 seconds for a 10×15cm photo in draft, borderless mode. Memory card slots and PictBridge connectivity are also included for computer-free printing. The Epson Stylus DX8400 Series additionally boasts a 6.3cm LCD viewer for viewing and printing photos without a PC. Both models are also cost effective with four individual ink cartridges at €9.99 each, so only the colour that is used needs to be replaced.
