Epson Artisan 810 Reviews

Computer Power user reviews the Epson Artisan and writes;

“The Artisan’s scan quality rivaled Brother’s MFC-9320CW as tops in our roundup. In the 10-page document test, we were impressed by the Artisan 810’s quality down to 9-point fonts. However, its 22-second wake-up time from sleep mode seriously slowed its speed; it registered 9ppm.”

Geek reviews the Epson Artisan 810 and writes;

“When I opened the folder and saw the gorgeous, color-saturated glossy photos, I figured they were somehow “fluffed” to look better than the average user’s real world results. But no. I printed their sample image files and got even better results than they did. Then I unleashed the beast on my own photography and was equally stunned by the results..”

maclife reviews the Epson Artisan 810 and writes;

“…We noticed the greatest improvements using RPM mode when printing grayscale images with smooth gradients between light and dark. The regular photo mode was more than adequate for point-and-shoot images, but higher-res DSLR shots also showed marked improvement with RPM prints…”

justechn reviews the Epson Artisan 810 and writes;

“…I am really impressed with the speed, quality, and how quiet the Artisan 810 is. I don’t think I found a single problem with this printer other than the text quality, but that is a tough area for all inkjets..This printer has clearly taken the top position away from the Artisan 800 and I am giving this printer my Editors Choice award. This is a must have printer and the best printer of the year.”

Hardwaregeeks reviews the Epson Artisan 810 and writes;

“Overall the Epson Artisan 810 is a fantastic printer, and because of that we award it our 5 Star Must Have Award! If you want to get an Artisan 810 as of October 4th 2009 it will run you $249 after an instant Rebate. The 800 is going for $179 after rebate”

about.com reviews the Epson Artisan 810 and writes;

“Print speeds across the network were excellent. A three-page Word document printed using the built-in duplexer took only 45 seconds to print, with text coming out sharp and clear. Even more surprising was the speed of photo printing. At only 30 seconds, it printed a gorgeous 4×6 photo more than a minute faster than the HP 8500, and way faster than the Canon Pixma MFC-255CW, both cheaper printers.”

User Opinions

Epson Artisan 810 User Reviews

Early Opinion 4.5 stars., by Steven Alpert
Rating: ★★★★★

“…I have been using an HP Wireless printer up until now (model 5850) and the print quality of the Artisan 810 far outstrips that HP, with much deeper blacks and dark tones, and more rich looking color, which is probably due to superior ink quality more than the printer quality. Also, they promise that their inks are acid-free and will last 3 or 4 times longer than drug-store prints….”

Almost Perfect!, by Phyllis Staff
Rating: ★★★★☆

“…PROS:1. Print quality is as good as Epson claims.
2. Although I may never use it again, the coloring book feature is fun. For families with small children, I’m sure this feature will be appreciated.
3. Being able to charge up my mp3 player from the port on the front of the printer is a nice little extra. Anytime I can avoid powering up the computer for such a small task, I’m happy. And now I have a quick way to do that. ….”

Wonderful multi-function scanner/copier/printer/fax by Jim Moore
Rating: ★★★★★

“…All funtions and interfaces are well conceived. You can be either ‘PC Centric’ and do everything from your PC, or you could be copier centric, and do almost everything just standing there at the copier, and get almost everything done. Very simpple controls. You even have the option to ‘print’ your document to the Epson FAX, which bypasses the paper and simply sends a high quality fax…”
