BiosMag reviews the Dell UltraSharp 3007WFP-HC (Rating: 8/10) and writes;

” Dell’s UltraSharp 3007WFP-HC is highest-quality display we’ve ever tested. Text is sharp and easy to read, even at small font sizes, and colours are simply stunning thanks to the high colour gamut. Web sites looks bright and accurate, and photos really come to life.. With a price tag of over a grand, this Dell monitor is certainly not cheap, though its cost does fall in the same range as other 30-inch LCDs. If you’re looking for a big display to work solely within Windows, then it would be a good investment.”

CNET reviews the Dell UltraSharp 3007WFP-HC (Rating: 7.6/10) and writes;

The good: Bright image with crisp text even at the tiniest fonts; attractive design; relatively inexpensive compared to other 30-inchers; built-in media card slots. The bad: No composite or S-Video inputs; ghosting evident during DVD playback. The bottom line: We’d give the Dell UltraSharp 3007WFP an unequivocal thumbs-up if it had S-Video ports and better DVD playback. “

ExtremeTech reviews the Dell UltraSharp 3007WFP-HC and writes;

“To summarize our lab results, the Dell 3007WFP offers excellent contrast ratio and luminance numbers, good color-temperature tracking, and a typical CIE color response curve. Uniformity is a bit of a concern, though in daily desktop use, it’s not an issue. “

PCworld reviews the Dell UltraSharp 3007WFP-HC and writes;

“The 3007WFP was impressive in my subjective tests. Black letters appeared crisp against a white background, and flesh tones and bright colors looked pleasing. The 3007WFP played our test movie with minimal ghosting, and HD content looked sharp. I set the Dell monitor next to the Apple 30-incher and found both screens excellent, though I did perceive a faint pink cast on the Dell model.”

PCMag reviews the Dell UltraSharp 3007WFP-HC (Rating: 4/5) and writes;

“In our lab tests, we discovered some issues with backlight uniformity. In actual desktop PC use, this isn’t noticeable, but you can see some hot spots in video content that has lots of dark material. .. If you need a large display with fine image quality and good response time, and you already have a high-end PC with dual-link DVI graphics cards, then the 3007WFP is a great fit that will not fail to impress.”

CNET Australia reviews the Dell UltraSharp 3007WFP-HC and writes;

“Gaming is by far the best and most logical application of the 3007WFP, as the user is completely immersed in the game world and ghosting is kept to a minimum…Colours are true to life and contrast performance is excellent, but in some of the darker scenes in F.E.A.R, we had trouble picking up fine details in objects. The panel’s brightness (rated at 400 cd/m2) also impressed us, and this is consistent across the whole display with no visible bright or dark spots.”

CameraHobby reviews the Dell UltraSharp 3007WFP-HC and writes;

“With my limited experience in using LCDs, I cannot tell you that the Dell 3007 is a champion of color accuracy and that it will satisfy the very color critical. My objective thinking is that the Dell will not match, say an expensive Eizo or the now discontinued Sony Artisan CRT, but given how close it is to my previous reference, the Sony E540 CRT, I’m quite satisfied with the Dell’s performance. It’s certainly not a cheap purchase and for the money, I would give some serious thought to whether or not you really need the real estate provided and can live with a smaller and potentially superior LCD in the form of the Lacie 321, the Eizo CE240W, or, if you like being on the cutting edge, the LED-based Samsung XL20.”

About.com reviews the Dell UltraSharp 3007WFP-HC and writes;

“Gaming is where the real strength of the Dell UltraSharp 3007WFP-HC lies. If you haven’t played games like FEAR, Oblivion, or Command & Conquer 3 at 2560 x 1600 you haven’t really played them. This is a phenomenal display for PC gaming. No matter the game I played, I never noticed any ghosting, smearing or tearing of the images. Don’t worry about the 12ms response time on this panel, it games every bit as good as a 19” panel with a 2ms response time..”
