Dell Latitude XT Tablet PC Reviews

Trusted Reviews reviews the Dell Latitude XT Tablet PC and writes;

“So, what’s so special about the touch screen on the Latitude XT? Much like the Apple iPhone, the Latitude XT uses capacitive touch screen technology, as opposed to the resistive technology used on the majority of Tablet PCs. Without going into too much detail, capacitive screens use a layer that holds a constant electrical current, which when touched is altered. This provides the information required to locate the impact, without the physical pressure required by resistive screens. Ultimately, it’s far more accurate and easier to use and since there are fewer layers, the capacitive screen has little impact on image clarity.”

TabletPCreview reviews the Dell Latitude XT Tablet PC and writes;

“When rotating into tablet mode the screen automatically rotates to landscape, just as any Tablet PC does. You can then use the screen rotate button if you want to orientate the screen differently. There’s no built-in accelerometer like the ThinkPad X61 Tablet and Apple iPhone use to automatically orient the screen with the way you’re holding it. That’s one feature I would like to have seen to make this closer to the ultimate tablet. ”

Laptopcom reviews the Dell Latitude XT Tablet PC and writes;

“If I compare Latitude XT with Fujitsu LifeBook T2010: The Dell’s Tablet is thinner but heavier, more expensive, can come with equal or less power than the Fujitsu’s tablet, has several of OS, and wireless connectivity options specially, draft-n and WWAN which the Fujitsu’s tablet doesn’t have, LED display option and with brighter LCD display, better graphics and 1 USB more, Express Card slot (not PC card), and only SD slot. ”

Notebook Review reviews the Dell Latitude XT Tablet PC and writes;

“The Latitude XT is a solid tablet with a great display. It is very expensive though. Many users complained about the price and Dell says it is targeted toward the business market not consumers. This may be true, but it still seems a bit pricey for the business market as well. The XT can compete with Toshiba’s M700 or even Lenovo’s X61. Yes, the N-trig, dual touch technology is a huge plus and taking notes and using your finger are almost flawless, but the price is way above its competitors. ”
