Notebook Review reviews the Dell Inspiron 1525 and writes;
“The 6-cell 56WHr Li-Ion battery provides excellent battery life for the 1525. With Vista’s power management running in “high performance” mode, screen brightness set to maximum and wireless on, the 6-cell battery delivered 2 hours and 53 minutes of battery life…Overall, the Dell Inspiron 1525 is an excellent budget notebook with good looks and solid performance. ”

PCmag reviews the Dell Inspiron 1525 and writes;
“The 15.4-inch widescreen is a boon for video enthusiasts and photographers with their first D-SLR camera, though I found that the screen image itself was a little wobbly—probably a preproduction thing. The 1,280-by-800 resolution is standard and doesn’t take away from the multimedia experience, although higher resolutions will improve the contrast. ”

I looked for a while about getting XP on this since Vista comes standard from dell.
I did find the XP drivers listed on a few sights and did the xp, slipstream using nlite. Worked very smoothly (mind you Im a sysadmin and have integrated drivers and services packs before, but really its not more then a few small steps).
I play world of warcraft (wow) mostly, and it plays beautifully with all graphics turned on using the the intel X3100 video card (I have the 1.7g cpu and 2gb of ram).
Hey, I made a mistake when buying this laptop, it can’t even handle wow on high. even if I could tweak settings to make it just enough to play wow I’d be happy, I’ve looked at overclocking, though nothing has worked.
Please msg me here, if anyone knows how I could make the graphics better just slightly?
