Dash Express Reviews
PC World first look reviews the Dash Express and writes;
“The Dash’s biggest boon is its connectivity. When I powered up the unit, the cellular connection took about a minute to kick in (and not much longer for the GPS fix to appear–check it via a ‘Geek screen’ menu option hidden in the settings). Immediately, I heard voice announcements heralding the arrival of each of three addresses I had sent via the Web. I quickly accessed them by tapping ‘Choose a destination’ and then ‘Send to car’. You can designate destinations as favorites for easy retrieval down the line.”

LaptopMag reviews the Dash Express and writes;
“We tested the Dash primarily in northern New Jersey, and although a Dash representative told us there were only 15 beta testers in the area with Express units, as well as a small handful of other reviewers, we always saw plenty of current traffic data for the major roads. That data proved to be always accurate, too: When the Dash told us the New Jersey Turnpike would become congested at a certain spot, it did, at exactly the right location. ”

Engadget reviews the Dash Express and writes;
“Once you sit down at a computer and log onto my.dash.net, however, things get way more interesting. From there, you can access other users’ saved Yahoo! Local searches, share lists of interesting locations, and subscribe to GeoRSS feeds, which are currently pretty hard to find. After some searching, we found one for local music, and it was pretty amazing: a constantly updated list of acts at nearby venues. There are similar feeds for everything from dog parks to airport delays, and if the Express takes off, we can see GeoRSS going mainstream pretty quickly. ”

CNET reviews the Dash Express and writes;
” The good: The Dash Express portable navigation system offers Internet connectivity via Wi-Fi or cellular network and allows for live searches, real-time traffic updates, and more. There’s also a Send2Car feature for easy trip planning and text-to-speech functionality. The bad: The Dash’s tracking capabilities were off the mark. At this time, there’s no capability to connect a Bluetooth-enabled cell phone or use the Express as a hands-free speaker system. The unit is also fairly bulky. ”

GPS review reviews the Dash Express and writes;
” The 4.3 inch touch screen is very bright, and colors don’t wash out at all when viewed from very high or very wide angles. The touch screen is perfectly sensitive (you don’t have to tap too hard) and it was very precise. There is also a screen alignment function should it come out of sync…if you are a hard-core commuter who keeps the radio tuned to stations with frequent traffic updates the Dash Express is your dream GPS. ”
