+ REVIEWS:
CrunchGear have published a review of the Cingular 3125 where they write;
“As far as being a “phone” goes, the 3125 is a winner. At less than 3.5 ounces, its form-factor falls in line with the current slim flips on the market. Its internal full-color screen boasts a 240×320 resolution, fairly high for such a small screen. This makes text and photos look sharp while maintaining legibility. The outside, secondary screen sports an impressive 128×128 resolution, and as a display for the built-in MP3 player, it functions beautifully.”
Brighthand have published a review of the Cingular 3125 where they write;
“One of my criteria for judging devices is whether or not I regret having to ship it back to the company when the review period is over. By that mark, the 3125 does exceedingly well. It’s solid, efficient, and has a very nice design…It would do well as an extension to a laptop, a companion to a handheld or tablet PC, or a standalone device for someone who needs only moderate data use. It’s fast, it has good battery life, and a great design. Pros: Quad-band GSM/EDGE, Sleek design, Durable construction, Extra memory. Cons: Proprietary USB/audio connector, No high-speed networking, MicroSD card.”
Mobiledia have published a review of the Cingular 3125 where they write;
“In addition to the phone’s PDA system, the 3125 features extensive multimedia capabilities, including both MP3 and video download / playback. The phone’s 1.3-megapixel camera is nothing special, but should be satisfactory for creating custom wallpapers and sending fun photos and video to friends and family. J2ME games round out the entertainment package. Video playback and other visual media are enhanced by a large, full-color 240 x 320 px internal screen. To add to the visual capabilities of the phone, the 3125 also features a full-color 128 x 128 px external screen.”
Gadgetnutz have published a review of the Cingular 3125 where they write;
On the top side of the flip you will find a brilliant 320 x 240 2.2” display. Because of the large size of the phone the display appears to be smaller than the 2125, but in actuality is the same size. The screen provides excellent color and displays video and pictures very well. Above the display you will find a call speaker, flanked by a pair of rubber feet that hold the display away from the keyboard when closed. Below the display is the Cingular branding.
Infosyncworld have published a review of the Cingular 3125 where they rate phone 78% and write;
“What’s positive: Rich, clean screen. Lots of included functionality with Windows Mobile, especially on such a small, thin phone. Looks great. What’s negative:Not for power users who need to edit documents. Buttons are a little stiff and very flat, which makes navigating just a bit difficult…
Overall, the Cingular 3125 makes for a powerful business sidekick given that it’s a relatively compact clamshell. Armed with Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone Edition, the 3125 packs in push e-mail capabilities, an Office document viewer (no editing, but this is a flip-phone after all), robust contact and calendar management, and surprisingly impressive multimedia capabilities. The 3125’s design is certainly unique, but never feels cheap or simply cosmetic. If you wish your RAZR could do a lot more, but don’t need a full-fledged Windows Mobile device, the 3125 is an excellent choice.”
Mobiletechreview have published a review of the Cingular 3125 where they rate the phone 4.5/5 and write;
“The phone is locked to Cingular which means it will only work with a Cingular SIM. Like the Cingular 2125 and Cingular 8125, voice quality is excellent. Callers remarked that we sounded like we were calling from a land line. Volume is good by GSM handset standards and is louder than some recent Nokia phones we’ve reviewed. The speakerphone (press and hold the call send button when in a call to activate it) is loud and clear as well. Reception has been very good and is quite similar to the Cingular 8125 and Nokia N73 with the Nokia having a slight edge (Nokia is king of RF). The phone is definitely not plagued with the reception issues QTEK 8500 owners experienced. Like some WM phones, it does take up to a minute to acquire a signal on a cold boot thought, and it takes up to a minute for it to re-acquire a signal if you go from an area of no signal to a very weak signal area. It’s faster when going from no signal to a strong signal area.”
Laptopmag have published a review of the Cingular 3125 where they rate the phone 3.5/5 and write;
“CALL QUALITY The 3125 sounds, appropriately, much like a RAZR. It’s comfortable to talk on for long periods, thanks to the thin and light form factor, and parties on either end of our conversation reported no notable static, drop-outs, or echo. VERDICT Best for casual e-mail users, the 3125 is a sleek phone for work or play that’s just smart enough.”
