WikiHow has some nice tips on how you can easily find the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number. The IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number is on all GSM and UMTS mobile phones used by the Mobile phone companies to remotely disable the phone in the event it is stolen or reported lost and customize data content to be compatible with the type of equipment used, among other things.

iPod Hack: Make an USB iPod Charger

Need a new iPod charger? Here’s a little project for you where you can turn an old cellphone charger into an USB iPod charger. Just make sure that you are outputting 5V before charging your iPod with your new charger.
“Solution: Take one of my old cell phone chargers, a Sony-Ericsson phone that I no longer use. I check the output voltage, 5.1V with 450mA. Looks good. I checked the USB specs and I believe it’s well within the acceptable range.”

DIY: An iPod Cover

If you want to keep your iPod clean and shiny, Sondra Crane has some tips to make a neat cover for your iPod. Here are the things that you need; White and Coloured Felt, Sewing Needle, Paper
Pencil, Pins, Ruler, Scissors, Snaps, and Sewing Thread.
Step1. Take your iPod and draw out a template on a piece of paper. Make the template twice the length + twice the thickness + a flap. The width of the template should be the same width as the iPod + twice the thickness.

DIY: Dock for T-mobile MDA or 8125 (Wizard)

DIYthinker has some tips on creating A simple dock for T-mo MDA (aka HTC Wizard) from cardboard and a spare USB to mini USB wire.
“I wanted a dock but couldn’t afford it right now so I had an idea of making it myself. It was a spontanious project that was fun and completely usable. I think it looks decent apart from the glue marks but it works great and lets the MDA stand vertically as its being charged/synced. It’s not very difficult to make so anyone can try if interested.”
