Nikon Coolpix S10 - Review @ Dpreview
Nikon Coolpix S10, a 6.0 megapixel point-and-shoot digital camera features 10x swivel optical zoom, CCD-shift Vibration Reduction, and a 2.5″ LCD Screen, has been reviewed by Dpreview, where they rate the camera ‘above average’ and write;

Nikon Coolpix S10 Latest Price
“But the faltering telephoto focus, awkward ergonomics and the cumulative effect of all the minor image quality issues and other annoyances make it a difficult camera to recommend over a compact ’super zoom’ like the Canon S3 IS or Panasonic DMC-FZ7 (the new Panasonic TZ2 looks promising too). It’s by no means a terrible camera; in many respects it’s actually a pretty good camera, it could just be better, and there are more appealing all-round options out there for the same (or less) money. For all these reasons the S10 just misses a Recommended rating.”

Canon PowerShot A460 - CNET
CNET has recently reviewed the Canon PowerShot A460, a 5.0 million effective pixel compact digital camera with 4x optical zoom and 2″ LCD Screen. The site rates the camera 5.8/10 (average) and continues to write;
“The good: 4x zoom lens; optical viewfinder. The bad: Very noisy images; awkward zoom rocker; no 30fps VGA movie mode. The bottom line: With heavy image noise and merely decent performance, there are better budget cameras available than the Canon PowerShot A460.”

Canon EOS 400D - Review & Sample Photos @ TrustedReviews
TrustedReviews has posted its review and sample photos of the Canon EOS 400D, 10 megapixel DSLR camera features EOS Integrated Cleaning System, Nine point Auto Focus sensor, and a 2.5″ LCD monitor with 160° viewing angles (horizontal and vertical).
“I’m a bit puzzled by the image quality. I’ve read some reviews that have absolutely raved about it, saying it’s easily the best of the 10MP DSLRs, but personally I wasn’t that impressed. It’s good, don’t get me wrong, but it’s not that good. In terms of absolute sharpness and detail, it produced virtually identical results to the Olympus E-400, Sony A100 and Nikon D80. I’ve taken the same shots with all four cameras, and for three of them at least you can compare the results right here by clicking on the links in the first paragraph of this review. I think you’ll agree that it really is no better. I also found significant levels of purple fringing around some burned-out highlights, and while it might have marginally superior dynamic range, it’s not enough to give it a significant advantage. Colour rendition was very good, but then again it’s not a problem for any recent DSLR that I’ve tried.”

Pentax Optio T20 - Review & Sample Photos @ PocketLint
Pocket-Lint have posted a review & sample photos of the Pentax Optio T20, a 7 Megapixel with 3x optical zoom and a huge 3.0 inch touch-panel LCD screen.

“..the touch screen is also useful when it comes to scrolling through the images simply pressing the screen to the left or right to move on to the next image…When it comes to image quality, it was great, the 7 megapixel censor gave us no problem with noise, and images where bright, crisp and colour balance good in either the snow or bar afterwards..”

Canon PowerShot A640 - Review @ Let’sGoDigital
Canon PowerShot A640, a 10 megapixel digital camera with 4x optical zoom and 2.5″ LCD Screen, has been reviewed by Let’sGoDigital. They rate the camera 79% and write;

Canon PowerShot A640 Latest Price Info
“Its predecessor already had a great reputation and the Canon PowerShot A640 is continuing the success story. You could still argue over the lack of certain speed keys for, e.g. ISO, but in this regard, the concept comes very close to its big brother, the Canon PowerShot G7. A visible difference must remain and as far as I’m concerned, Canon has drawn up the right boundaries. The Canon PowerShot A640 is an excellent digital compact camera that can be used by beginners, but which will also give them the opportunity to learn and maybe take the next step to a digital reflex camera. A great camera, really excellent! “

Nikon Coolpix S9 Latest Price Info
“Good Points: Six-megapixel resolution and 3x optical zoom, Lightweight ‘carry anywhere’ dimensions, Reasonable build quality given the price. Bad Points: Fingertips can stray into shot, Small 24MB internal memory. Overall Free of frills and with much about it familiar, the Nikon Coolpix S9 will satisfy the undemanding snapper.”

Samsung Digimax L70 - Review @ ePhotozine
ePhotozine has reviewed the Samsung Digimax L70, a slim point-and-shoot digital camera features 7.2 MP, and 3x optical zoom with antishake, where they rate the camera 8/10 and continue to write;

“The ISO100 test is a nice clean result, with some patterns in the grey card area, which has been rendered blue-purple incidentally. The petals are a vibrant red colour and there is plenty of detail. At ISO200 the patterns are slightly more noticeable and the red shade is slightly duller, but still, a good result. Moving up to ISO400, the single-tone area has noticeable noise and the petals are starting to lose details. At ISO800 some of the colour has bleached out of the petals, making them lighter, and the detail in the centre has disappeared. The grey area is now clearly mottled, but these results are substantially better than the L70s sibling, the NV7 OPS.”
