Philips teams up with Rhapsody and announced the new GoGear MP3 Player; which will offer a seamless, interactive music experience. LAS VEGAS - Philips and RealNetworks®, Inc., - 6 January ‘08- today announced a new alliance to bring Rhapsody®, the award-winning digital music service from Real and MTV Networks, to consumers both on the go and in the home with Philips’ new portable MP3 GoGear™ players and Philips’ Streamium™ home audio product line.

The first digital audio devices from the Philips/Rhapsody collaboration are expected in early 2008 and can be previewed beginning January 7 and throughout the 2008 International Consumer Electronics Show in the RealNetworks booth (South 4 36200) or in Philips’ booth (Central 12124).

Sony introduced NW-E020F Stick-Players

Sony has announced recently their new product called NW-E020F. The Sonly NW-E020F will feature 30 hours of audio playback, FM tuner, integrated USB device, a three line color display and up to 3 full hours of audio playback of only 3 minutes charge. The Stick-players will be available in Asia on March 8 with capacities of 1, 2 and 4GB.

Appearantly Motorolla is not the only one who release their new product for HIV charity in Africa. The iPod also announces their new product of iPod Nano in red for the purpose of donating $10 for every purchase to Global Fund. The Red iPod Nano features up to 24 hours of battery life and completely skip-free playback. The iPod nano RED Special Edition is available on November 2006 worldwide in a 4GB model for $199 (US) via Apple’s retail stores and the Apple Store® (www.apple.com).

Hitachi HMR-1 Announced

Hitachi unveils the new HMR-1 CD player and MP3 Recorder or so called i.μ’s (Eye Muse); which will be available late november according to Impress. The HMR-1 supports MP3/WMA playback and able to record directly from CD to SD cards without the use of a PC/Computer. However, HMR-1 does not support DRM of WMA. The Eye-Muse has a size of 170×130×30mm and 340g in weight. The Hitachi HMR-1 will be priced at around $214 or ¥25,200 in Japan.

According to Microsoft Press Release, Zune digital media player will become available this November 14th, 2006 in U.S. With only $249.99 you can get the 30GB digital media player, three-inch LCD video screen and a built-in FM Tuner. Microsoft also pre-loaded each Zune device with a variety of songs and music videos. Zune digital media player will be available in brown and white.
