Panasonic Announces HDC-SD1 & HDC-DX1

EZ105 Released by RCA

EZ105 announced by RCA is a point-and-shoot digital camcorder featuring 512 MB of flash memory with 2x digital zoom. The other key features include; the ability to record up to 30 mins. of 640×480 video, an hour of 448×336 in the AVI format, 1.5” TFT screen, AV out, built-in USB arm and tripod mount. Hitachi Blu-Ray Camcorder

At Tokyo CEATEC Show (3rd October 2006), Hitachi unveils that they will be releasing new blu-ray DVD camcorder in two years time. According to the interview with News.com, the new Hitachi Blue-Ray DVD Camcorder will feature 8cm DVDs and an accompanying burner. The use of Blu-ray means that it will enable users to have higher capacity than non blu-ray discs. Therefore, can offer more footage with less compressions. At the moment, blu-ray uses only 12cm discs, holding data between 25GB to 50 GB. We’re hoping that Hitachi will managed to create 8 cm DVD within two years time, which is not exist today.

Sony Launches HVR-V1U

Sony’s latest pro HDV camera, the HVR-V1U, features 3 CMOS, true 1920×1080, true progressive, 4:2:2. The camera itself, which boasts a familiar Carl Zeiss lens and is the first three-CMOS handheld on the market. The HVR-V1U will give a 25p option, as well as let them switch between HDV, DV and DVCAM recording and playback. According to camcorderinfo.com the expected price for the HVR-V1E is about $5800.
