Canon Pixma MP970 Reviews
IT Reviews reviews the Canon Pixma MP970 and writes;
“One upgrade found on the Pearl 8130 is an improved web browser. Although still not as good as Safari on the iPhone or Web on Series 60 devices Like the N95 it is a big step up from the older extremely basic BlackBerry web browser. The new browser uses a pointer on screen, which makes getting around a bit easier. ”

CNET reviews the Canon Pixma MP970 and writes;
” The good: Network-ready; auto duplexer; large LCD; control panel is easy to use and menus are well-thought-out; memory card slots and PictBridge port. The bad: Task speeds are slower than the last generation’s; print/scan quality is not up to Canon’s usual standards and needs improvement across the board; USB port doesn’t support hard drives or flash drives. ”

Steves-Digicams reviews the Canon Pixma MP970 and writes;
“The MP970 features the PIXMA intelligent ink-management system and uses individual ink tanks for each color. You replace only the color that runs out rather than an entire multicolor cartridge. A red LED lights up when the ink tank is properly installed. The MP970 uses 7 color inks consisting of cyan, photo cyan, magenta, photo magenta, yellow, black inks and a pigment black ink. The pigment-based black ink is used to make laser-quality text.”

VNunet reviews the Canon Pixma MP970 and writes;
“Print speed is very impressive, turning out a single-page Word document in just 10 seconds (compared to 16 seconds for the Lexmark), and 10 pages in 75 seconds (100 seconds for Lexmark). The MP970 also printed a full A4 borderless photo in just under one minute 30 seconds, compared to almost four minutes for Lexmark - although, oddly, the speeds for a smaller 4×6 print were identical at 30 seconds each.”
