+ REVIEWS:

IT-Reviews reviews the Canon PIXMA MP830, they write:
“Print quality is generally good, with sharp black text and smoothly coloured graphics. Photo prints come out well rendered, with natural blending from shade to shade, but again, duplex pages are not up to the standard of single-sided prints. The costs of the ink cartridges and Canon glossy photo paper give page costs of 2.4p and 36p for 5 percent black and 20 percent colour pages, respectively. The black print rate is reasonable, but the colour cost is on the high side.”

Trusted-Reviews reviews the Canon PIXMA MP830, they rated the printer 7/10 and write:
“Canon provides a good suite of software with the PIXMA MP830. There’s Presto! PageManager 7 for organising scans and multi-page documents, OmniPage SE2 for Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and MP Navigator and Easy Photo-Print for image manipulation. There’s also CD LabelPrint, to help design labels…When it comes to the quality of the prints, regular text comes out clear and dense and solid graphics are just that, solid and with no signs of banding. Photos also come out well, with good colours and fine detail. The only blot on the landscape is those duplex prints, again.”

PCmag reviews the Canon PIXMA MP830, they rated the printer 4.5/5 and write:
“The Canon Pixma MP830 is, quite simply, the fastest ink jet AIO I’ve yet seen. Its total time—12 minutes, 10 seconds—on our business applications suite (timed with QualityLogic’s hardware and software) slashes more than two minutes off the previous record, the 14:14 achieved by the Canon Pixma MP950 Photo All-In-One. The MP830 is also the fastest ink jet AIO I’ve yet measured for printing photos, averaging 46 seconds for each 4-by-6 snapshot and 1:46 for each 8-by-10 printout. In addition, all of our test photos qualified as true photo quality and were highly water-resistant too.”

CNET Asia reviews the Canon PIXMA MP830, they rated the printer 7.2/10 and write:
“The Canon PIXMA MP830 was impressively speedy for an inkjet printer. It printed black text at an impressive 7.7ppm and a PowerPoint presentation file at 3.03ppm. It was quick on photo printing, too: it generated 4 x 6 photos at a rate of 1.83ppm…The good: The Canon PIXMA MP830 is inexpensive for a multifunction printer that includes a fax machine, an ADF, a duplexer, and a media card reader, It’s quick at scanning and printing. The bad: The MP830 is not networkable and its color graphics print quality leaves something to be desired.”
