Brother - MFC-5460CN is a multi laser function printer featuring network connection, fax and an auto-document feeder (ADF). It also features 30ppm black and 25ppm color printing speed, 6000 x 1200 dpi print resolution, 35-Page Automatic Document Feeder and 33.6Kbps high-speed fax modem. The MFC-5460CN is available for around £100 (plus VAT).

IT Reviews has a review of the Brother MFC-5460CN;
“The output quality is not the best we’ve seen for the money, either. Black print is rather over-inked, giving it a slightly fuzzy appearance, and colour print is under-inked, with some of the white paper fibres showing through. Printed colours are reasonably true to life, but copies taken from the flatbed or the ADF are much paler than the originals. Photo prints are surprisingly well reproduced, though, with natural colours and well-disguised dither patterns.”

“The bottom line: Although it’s suitable only for light-duty printing, the Brother MFC-5460cn delivers a full set of office-centric features, ranging from a network connection to standalone faxing. Cons: Slow, Paper capacity is only 100 sheets, Setup involves confusing, manual steps.”

“The Brother MFC-5460CN is about the same size as small desktop photocopier. A small two-line screen displays status information and printing instructions. To the right are three buttons to start and stop scanning and for copying documents. There’s a phone keypad for entering fax numbers and function buttons at the far left; all very intuitive.”
