BlackBerry 9700 Bold Reviews
Tech2 reviews the BlackBerry 9700 Bold (Onyx) and writes;
“The Bold 9700 is equipped with a 3.2MP autofocus camera, a full 1.2 megapixel more than the original. While the camera quality on the 9000 was quite good for 2MP, the 9700’s is a splendid upgrade. Images are crisp and even images with the flash in low light conditions looks quite good…”

PCworld reviews the BlackBerry 9700 Bold (Onyx) and writes;
“Pros: Excellent, ergonomic keyboard, Attractive, slimmed-down design. Cons: Camera is just average, Browser can’t compete with other top phone. Bottom Line: The best BlackBerry available, the Bold 9700 packs a multitude of features into a sophisticated, slimmed-down design”

Pocket Lint reviews the BlackBerry 9700 Bold (Onyx) and writes;
“The BlackBerry browser is pretty good. It does at least let you open most pages in full and the optical trackpad makes navigation easier than previously. If browsing the Internet is the most important thing for you, then this probably isn’t the right device. At least you know that when you need to look something up, you’ll be able to dive in and quickly jump in to page columns to read the details and so on, with minimal fuss.”

MobileChoice UK review of the BlackBerry 9700 Bold and writes;
“Pros: Perfect QWERTY keyboard, best email support on the market, super responsive trackpad. Cons: Limited customisation possible, small screen size impedes web browsing and media viewing”

eweek review of the BlackBerry 9700 Bold and writes;
“BlackBerry Bold 9700 Is a Typically Excellent E-Mail, Contact and Calendaring Device – Fast Application Start and Switch Times…The Bold 9700 comes with 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, delivering the same excellent wireless security features, performance and troubleshooting tools I’ve come to expect from Wi-Fi-enabled BlackBerrys during the last two years. ”

PC Advisors review of the BlackBerry 9700 Bold and writes;
“Certainly the sensitivity of the BlackBerry Bold 9700’s touchpad is impressive. As with a mouse on a PC, the sensitivity levels can be adjusted to suit the user’s preference on the Bold, but in our tests barely a brush of a fingertip resulted in items being selected and navigation commands being implemented. The processor on the Bold 9700 is the same 624MHz one of its predecessor, but zipping around feels faster and more responsive.”
Phone Arena review of the BlackBerry 9700 Bold and writes;
“Placing the phone to automatic brightness, we were able to get a full two days use out of the Bold 9700 – this included heavy text and data usage during our testing. The 1500mAh battery matches the one found on the original, but falls a little short on what we got on the Bold 9000…RIM has the phone rated for 6 hours of talk and 456 hours of standby time.”

Pocket-Lint has first-look review of the BlackBerry 9700 Bold and writes;
“Overall, in our short time with the device, the Bold 9700 seems like a solid improvement on the old Bold. It doesn’t do anything terribly revolutionary – focusing on the communications experience above everything else – but it’s a solid smartphone choice for those who put messaging above everything else.”
BGR has first-look review of the BlackBerry 9700 Bold and writes;
“The BlackBerry 9700 combines the most-loved features that have been sprinkled about on BlackBerry phones over the last year (3G, 3.2 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, GPS, trackpad, QWERTY keyboard, smaller size, faster CPU) and combines them into a single sexy and compact package.”
Crackberry has first-look review of the BlackBerry 9700 Bold and writes;
“You can expect the same quality of photos out of the Onyx as the Curve 8900 (which takes some great snapshots) thanks to its 3.2 megapixel camera with flash and autofocus. .”

This phones works wonderfully… BUT whatever you do, just don’t drop it. The trackpad will stop working and you’re stuck using the enter key to key your options…
Zoe, thats why you should get an insurance on it.
I have one, now protected against accidental droppings, water damage and theft
