Asus Z96Js has 15.4-inch Color Shine Glossy display that runs on Intel Core Duo T2500 2Ghz. The other features include; 2GB DDR2 SODIMM of memory, 256MB ATI Mobility Radeon X1600, 1.3MP Webcam and Seagate 120Gb SATA. The Asus Z96Js is available at a price of approx. $729.

“I cannot commend this screen more. It is truly AMAZING! It dwarfs my Z70V’s matte screen which seems so dull and dead now. The colors are vibrant and the contrast is superb. No dead pixels for which I am overjoyed. I almost can’t believe what I have been missing! I don’t think I can go back to matte or anything lower than 1680×1050 resolution now…Performance has been superb. Multi-tasking is great, I can fire up four programs at once and wait for them all to load and they go remarkably fast. I usually play CS:Source or UT2004. Both of which this play on full settings at native resolution.”

“In fact, digital video playback was a sheer joy on the Z96JS, with ATI’s Avivo technology pushing the pixels. Gaming was a mostly pleasurable affair, as well, as long as I didn’t push my system beyond 1,024 x 768 resolution. On the whole, the Asus Z96JS is a decent barebones model for someone looking to custom-build a mobile PC that I would call “mostly portable.” At 5.5lbs with a 6-cell battery and a bit heavier with a 9-cell option, consummate road warriors need not apply, but those looking for a solid multimedia experience should take note.”
