I bought an ipod nano 3rd gen 8gb yesterday. then i installed Itunes v9 on windows 7. I connected my ipod to a usb 2 port as it said so- but my itunes just wont read the ipod. I tried connecting after and before opening itunes but no use. I want 2 add videos and photos and also games, but i dont know how. Can some1 help me?

I would also like 2 know how to change the display name of the ipod 2 my name in the computer and the ipod.

I have had my iPod nano 3rd Gen. w/8G for three years now. It was VERY reliable until the timeframe between 2 1/2 years and 3 years, and it was then that the center button, the back/rewind button, and the play/pause buttons stopped working. For a while, the center button would work if I pressed REALLY REALLY hard, but now it just doesn’t work at all. I tried to take it apart, and I unscrewed everything and tried to lift the center button and the clickwheel to try and reset the rubber things that so many people are telling me to move, but I can’t get the clickwheel and the center button away from the colored-casing. I really need some help–music is my life, and I cannot afford a new one. I just need the center button, the play/pause button, and the back/rewind buttons to work.
Help would be very much appreciated.

ipod is best music device i have seen. the operating system is wonderful.

in your computer just go to your ipod and tools folder option that show hidden folders than go to ipod contorl than device than you see something says locked so you rename it to unlocked than there you go instead of restoring it.

dude just try holding down the menu and select/middle button until an apple shows up and everything should be fixed

i have apple nano 3g, and it just shows the apple logo with on an off, i tried to restore but no response,, can anyone help hw to do??? and which software??

I read your comment and it helped me to get my iPod working again. It has been stuck for days and I have not been able to figure it out and I couldn’t find my manual. Thanks for your instructions! Now I have my music back :)

ok first of all this is the easiest thing to fix in the world.

ok step 1 plug your ipod into the computor and itunes will unlock it automaticly if that doesnt work restore it.

help me…
i bought my ipod few months back and i just started to explore it recently..
so, when i was exploring, i accidentally press the lock screen button and it requires me to enter the right password…
and.. i dont know wats the password or the number combination..
how could i solve thiss?
i’d press the menu and centre button and stuff (as wat it should be done wen the pod isnt rsponding), but it didnt work..

so, somebody, plz help me..
